Biggest issue is that they have terrible customer service. The Food is mediocre to bad, the menu is incorrect, and when I called to let them know they got my order wrong they were rude on the phone. For specifics, the sandwich has almost no flavor, calling it spicy is hyperbolic. I wouldn’t even describe it as mild. The “seasoned spicy potato wedges” are just fried potatoes without even salt. They provided the wrong side so I can’t comment on sides. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Horace’s Hot Fried Chicken is a unique little chicken spot in Uptown that serves an elevated Nashville hot chicken sandwich that was surprisingly good considering it is delivered on foot to my parking space outside the Wells Fargo building! Order online because there is no in-person store but it is delicious and worth the trip!

Prol the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. I’m from Atlanta, so I’ve tried a lot of fried chicken. The different types of flavored butter for the hush puppies were on point. The breading on the chicken was thick, spicy and somewhat sweet. Very juicy. Def a staple restaurant to try in Charlotte

Had a walk through uptown Charlotte with the family today and came across this. As a huge fan of NHC and having been to the original Hattie Bs in Nashville, I was keen to try this small place. I placed my order online as per the instructions but had to wait about 40 minutes for my food to arrive at the pick up location. Upon opening the box I was greeted by what looked like some pretty awesome hot chicken. However, the taste was not like any hot chicken I have had. It wasn’t spicy in the slightest, was very tough as though it had been sitting for awhile, and just left me wanting. They also provided me with some dipping sauce that was hard and crumbling and looked like it had been sitting out for days. Leave this place behind and find a food truck. You’ll have a better experience.

The chicken was way to Big and breading falling off and to sweet .over priced did not enjoy at all. popeyes would have been better. and on top of that it gives a southpark location but coming from somewhere else. ghost kitchen very deceptive. look at your resturant before ordering. will not be ordering from them again.I took a L for this one.

Have been in town a week or so with work and walk by Horace’s everyday for lunch telling myself I need to check out it. Well, I finally did, and I have to say Horace knows how to cook some damn chicken!! 10/10 will return next time I’m in Charlotte. Oh, and can I get the recipe? I’ve never eaten chicken that was sweet and spicy all at once! Check this place out, you will be pleased! Keep it up, guys!

Way overpriced ghost kitchen sandwich. The ordering process leaves some confusion and it’s definitely not hot either. The chicken was overly breaded and weirdly sweet. It had like a caramelized crunch to it in a bad way

I love the chicken. Ordering is easy on the website. What’s frustrating is a lack of affordable and available parking for this location at lunchtime. I’ve been here twice. First time after driving around several blocks I found metered parking. Last time after driving around several blocks I found a parking garage but with the wait time for my food to arrive it cost me $12 to park for 32 minutes. I’m not from this area so I’m not familiar with other options nearby. But this is the only downside I’ve encountered. I wish there more locations.
