Hook Fish & Chicken is a southern-styled restaurant known for its culinary excellence and inspired dishes. No one serves fish and chicken in the same manner as our Original Hook Fish and Chicken locations: we only use premium products and ingredients, we consistently follow a thorough food preparation procedure, and we blend our signature seasonings in a way that complement, not compete with, the amazing flavors of fish and chicken that we serve to our valued customers.
A food entrepreneur at heart, our founder, Ibrahim Said, developed a well-perfected recipe with a zesty, but not overpowering, taste that will exceed your expectations. His food preparation mantra is simple: keep it crisp outside and moist inside!

I had some struggles with hooks for a while because I used to find their chicken really salty. But by just asking them to go easy on it when ordering at the place has showed me how delicious the food is. Just be clear of do you want fries with your chicken and fish order do to new management. You may not get them automatically anymore.

For what I got Pappys was better. I got the friend shrimp, sambusa and fish pappys make all of those selections better except for sambusa cause they don’t make that but brava in Rochester MN does and there is way better.

They raised these prices so high since the pandemic. They don’t even give you bread with the meal you buy. I bought a Gyro and gizzard for $40.00. believe me I will cook myself and save my money.

Nice sea food. Tilapia-Shrimp with French fries, and a choice of soda for about $17, after tax.

Customer service is average at best. The dining/waiting area is abysmal. Not being from MN, I’m turned by these establishments that sprinkle lemon pepper on the chicken after it’s cooked without asking me first. The chicken was tasty and hot. The perch was hot and well cooked. But, it was underseasoned. It’s average among the many average like establishments throughout MSP.

This is not a good place if you’re looking for good service to go to. The cooks in the back eating the food is so disgusting. And a pretty sure they were dealing..

Just ate there for the first time, and my first impression opening the small fish dinner box was “Wow! That’s a lot more food than I thought!” I enjoyed the catfish, fries, and the cheese curds (battered, not breaded thankfully) until I could eat no more, and I can usually finish whatever is put in front of me, so that’s saying something.
