Metal shaving in my food. Do I really need to say anything else? The chicken was also insanely dry, but I am more concerned with the razor sharp metal in my food. I know accidents happen, but this could have been dangerous and I won’t feel comfortable ordering here anymore.

Yum!! Best Chinese food buffet in Wake Forest. Very good value and variety. Fresh! I am addicted to this place. I eat here every week, sometimes twice a week. Place is always busy. Glad I discovered them. UPDATE: Sadly, due to staffing issues, buffet is no more. Now you can order food and eat at tables out of to go boxes. Just not the same. I hate COVID causing great things to simply fade away. And nobody wants to work anymore. How are all these unemployed people across the USA surviving?

This spot is amazing! The food is off the charts! Our family is so happy to have found Hong Kong Restaurant. Since moving to Youngsville we have been trying out different Chinese spots feeling disappointed with each new venture until we came upon Hong Restaurant. The food is tasty, the chicken wings are really good and the service is great! They are always friendly to me and my family when we pick up our food and my family does not want any other Chinese restaurant but Hong Kong. The shrimp fried rice is usually what we all get and they make it the authentic way….with all the veggies and egg…not just shrimp, seasoning, and rice. You will enjoy!

Food was terrible. Took over 30 min to get my food. Asked for extra spicy szcheune (sp?) chicken. Bland as cardboard. Asked for hot oil no heat in that either. Told by mgr to order super spicy next time. They don’t even know what chinese food should taste like. Buch of american kids trying to cook chinese food. I din’t get it. I will not go here again. Asian gardens is 100 percent better. Don’t know why i went here.

All three of us thought the meals were very disappointing. I had Fresh Pea Pods and Mushrooms. The meal I had consisted of quartered white mushrooms, that weren’t cooked enough to release their flavor, with five fresh pea pods: see photo. It was tasteless…I couldn’t finish it. And let me add, that I eat anything.

We mostly like the food here, and the staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. But DO NOT get kung pao chicken here. It is not good. I’ve gotten it twice (stupid me), and about the only resemblance to kung pao is that it has peanuts in it. Otherwise, it is made up of diced, breaded and fried chicken, stir fried in a sugary sweet sauce. There’re no vegetables and no spicy flavor at all. You could say it taste’s a little like General Tso’s Chicken because of the sweetness, but even General Tso’s has a spicy component to it. This is just sugary. I’m kind of wondering if the front-of-the-house staff is even aware of what the kitchen is putting out as kung pao chicken. I might ask about it next time I’m in there. But as I said, I really like everything else I’ve had there. Another funny thing is, you might have noticed that egg foo young isn’t on the menu. I asked about this, and the young lady I spoke to said their cooks don’t like making it (she didn’t say why), but they will if a customer asks for it. I got it once, and it was good! So I don’t know what that’s about.

Great food every time! My favorite is the coconut shrimp and crab rangoon. The dining room is closed right now and they offer take out only.

Absolutely the best buffet in town. Locally owned, these folks are a solid part of the community. Get in there, support them, and get really good food while you’re at it!!!

Been looking for a good Chinese spot since moving out of Raleigh and I believe we have found it. Everything was delicious and hot. The wing meal comes with wingettes and drumsticks which I was not expecting but was delicious all the same. The only issue was there was egg in all of the fried rice. I’m not a fan of egg mixed in with my rice and now know to ask for no egg next time. The woman at the front was really nice too. If you’re craving Chinese, definitely check this place out!
