Pretty disappointed. Ordered a large Shrimp and mixed vegetables but they only give you a small rice. Weird. Food was saltier than other places. Terriyaki chicken was even less appealing.

I always go to Sun Sun for Chinese in South Windsor but needed to order delivery, so I decided to try Hong Kong House. I’m glad I did! The food is absolutely delicious, and the delivery driver was very pleasant and on time. I live in a condo complex, so delivery drivers often can’t find where I live….but they found my condo with no problem. I just ordered with them a second time, and had exactly the same experience. They delivered on time, and the food was delicious. So I had to write this review. Delicious food, and courteous drivers. Highly recommended.

Bought dinner to take home pork fried rice, and chicken and vegetables. The sauce was so slimy it was disgusting. I hadn’t even taken it out of the bag, and found the bag was soaked with sauce. When I put my fork in it it was slimy. I promptly returned it, and was met with an attitude. The woman was suggesting that it was the way I drove home. LOL really? I did get my money back don’t know who the chef was tonight, but that was horrible. I won’t be returning there.

Yikes. Where do I even begin with this place? Well first off, the service here is absolutely awful. There is one server who was working but was very busy at the bar and I had to wait for a long time before being acknowledged. Onto the food, the teriyaki chicken was pure rubber. It tasted nothing even remotely close to chicken. The rice was dry, and the chicken wings tasted so burnt they left a terrible aftertaste. I don’t recommend this place unless you’ve completely lost your mind and your tastebuds no longer work. The food is atrocious and the service is awful. Save your money and go to Sun Sun or Higashi.

Absolutely terrible. The only edible part of the meal was the wonton soup. The egg rolls were soaked with grease and so bland tasting. Also ordered chicken Mei Fun and General Tso’s Chicken. The Mei Fun was all tasteless noodles with about 10 small bites of chicken and a baby handful of vegetables. The General Tso’s looked promising with large 2-3 inch pieces of chicken and red pepper flakes throughout the sauce. The pieces were so large because they were all breading and only about a 1/2 inch pieces of chicken inside… And they tasted awful!! The breading in the chicken was almost as hard as a rock like it was cooked 8 hours ago and sat under a heat lamp all day. The chicken inside was bone dry. The sauce was boring and had no heat to it.

Took my family out for some good Chinese food. The minute my husband went inside the lady that was there which i believe is the owner didn’t seat us down in a table have my husband an attitude. Once we set down in the table my son started crying she looked at me wrong and just kept looking at us wrong like she didnt want us there. I dont like to say this word but she deff was racist she didnt even care that we got up and left before we order. Never again!! Bad customer service
