We were looking for a good dosa place near Washington Square Park and we found it here. We were one of the first customers for lunch, so both the dosas plain and dabang were fresh and tasted very good. Dabang dosa was my favorite. It had spiced masala filled in and topped with shredded beets and paneer. It was fresh and hot. Sambhar and chutneys with dosa did not impress me though. Sambhar lacked flavor and chutneys were meh, hence 4 star.

One of the best restaurants in Nyc! We stopped at this place for dinner and did not regret! Their appetizers were appetizing and their thali tasted real good with authentic curries. We also ordered Dahi Puri which tasted great! Staffs did a great job with friendly service. Even the atmosphere inside looked pretty good for family/friend to sit over for a dinner. Overall a great place if you wish to have Indian food in Nyc! Highly recommend. Will visit again!

Similar to other reviews this is a great spot when you’re in a pinch. Food is good but nothing to rave about. A bit Americanized so the spices are toned done a bit. Place is super clean and you can see that everything is made fresh. Will come back when I have a craving and in the neighborhood

A gem of a counter service meets street food Indian spot. Beautiful atmosphere with outdoor seating in the back. Food is not as delicious as other Indian/street food places but worth the money when you’re in a pinch for time/money.

One of the best restaurants for an amazing street food experience in NYC. You will find authentic Indian Style street food with perfectly balanced flavors and stunning ambience at a very reasonable price range. Go and get some good food and good pictures as well!

No frills delicious vegetarian only Indian eatery. It’s cafeteria style where you order at the counter. I recommend the bahubali that comes with masala flavored chips which are delicious. I also have had the dry Gobi Manchurian which is nicely sweet, spicy, and saucy. I love the bav bhaji which comes with 2 buttered buns, gulub jum, and a daal.

I say this as a fan of Honest from Gujarat and as someone who really enjoyed the food at the journal square branch too. It’s a new outlet and it’s huge that they now exist in NYC but the quality of food and service could be much better. I struggled with one particular staff member at the register who didn’t remember anything I asked for.
