Best poke (IMO) I had on the Big Island. The fish was so incredibly tender it melted in your mouth; it’s FRESH. Super flavorful too. This place is on the side of the road close to Two Step Beach. I wish we had more time because we for sure would’ve come back multiple times. I ordered spicy and my partner ordered the south side sweetie both with Mac salad. Do not skip this poke spot when coming to the Big Island. It’s worth the drive, the price, everything.

Poke-licious perfection! Every bite at Honaunau Poke Shop is like a ticket to flavor town. They’ve cracked the code to poke greatness – it’s like a culinary adventure with each bowl. And let’s talk about the service – they’re so friendly, I felt like I was at a poke party hosted by dolphins! If you’re passing by, make a U-turn and dive into the tastiest decision of your day.

Great little poke place right off Highway 11. Parking is limited and tight. Food is fresh and flavorful. Poke varies based on what fish is fresh and available and it’s high quality. Outdoor seating only. Recommend taking it to go and zipping down to the beach to enjoy your lunch while watching dolphins jump over rainbows.

We came here after snorkeling near the captain cooks monument. Needless to say we were famished. Stopped here for lunch and I took 2 poke and a side: shoyu, south side sweety and lomi salmon. My wife took the spicy garlic and shrimp with garlic. We also tried the shrimp in kimchee. Among these I like the spicy garlic best. Shoyu would be second. The kimchi shrimp had too much salt for our taste. My wife really liked the seaweed salad as well. Overall a great place to eat some poke. The place is right by the road with parking available on property.

First poke experience. Poke (literally means cube) is raw tuna in cube form and comes in various flavors you choose from and it’s served with a scoop of rice.

First Hawaiian poke and now my standards are so high. Delicious and flavorful. The nachos were great and the ahi tuna was amazing!

Good poke shop. I would even rate the „da poke shack“ higher. More tasty and 30% cheaper. The fish at the poke shop is very fresh and the view down the road is amazing.

Best Poke on the Big Island. Owner fishes for fresh catch & puts on menu. Best to get there before the rush or some dishes are sold out.

Absolutely fantastic poke! We got the poke nachos with the sweet poke and the spicy crab and spicy sauce. What an amazing combination, so delicious! And the wonton chips were the perfect crunchy texture and didn’t get soggy. We also had a 2 choice poke bowl with D Hawaiian poke and sesame poke, also very delicious with very fresh fish.
