Absolutely a must go to spot!!! HomeTown Heroes Great atmosphere was great, music was great!!! You won’t understand the meaning until you visit and guess what I’m not gonna ruin it, must see for yourself!!! Food was Great, The Red headed young lady who served us was outstanding very welcoming and very helpful with suggestions!!! The cheese curds Fire, Build your own burger amazing and you can’t beat the price $9 and you get three toppings to add on top of your burger I added the caramelized onions ,sauteed mushrooms and bacon!!! Condiments came on the side your choice of fries or sweet potato fries for an extra $1 and for $2 more you can add BBQ pork, ham and I believe turkey!!! Great experience!!! All the way around if you go to Grinnell, IA or passing by Stop by and and grab something to eat!!! Oh almost for got have a nice little simple bar set up to your right when you walk in!!!

Cute little local restaurant. Small but busy as lots of people were coming and going. Food and drinks were good. Pri es were fair and server Tony was awesome. Nothing fancy, just great for a place to stop for a beer and a burger. Had the tenderloin and it was really good.

So… visiting Grinnell on work and we wanted someplace to stay cool and grab a bite. We wandered in and the atmosphere is great a beautifully preserved old building with a nice sports bar vibe. There is a great wall in the back honoring fallen heroes from the area. This place was really suitable for everyone. That’s kind of a feat – to be able to be as good a place for families with children (they have a kids menu) as they are for a business lunch, as they are for guys going out to watch the game. Nicely done. I believe our waitress was Camille. She was great, got our order right, super attentive, just excellent. The food was great with a good selection and fresh and well prepared. Mango habenero salsa is a hit. It is well located not too far from the college and easy to find. If I make it back to the ares, we would love to stop again. Kudos to Hometown Heroes.

Solid 4 star. Good be selection. Good burgers. Good service. The Fumvlerooskie or however you spell it is my favorite. Only complaint I have is attention to detail. They don’t cook my fries long enough, but that’s not going to stop me from going back.

Service was great and I love the atmosphere. Our waitress even went over the history and ideas behind hometown heroes. Food was good. I could definitely eat more fries. I found it to be a relaxing place to have lunch.

Overall decent food, some days better than others. They usually don’t have but 1 server but the service is never slow and that’s because the servers are working way to hard. Some of the booths are loose and you can feel every little move of the person behind you so I’d ask for a table if that would bother you.

Visiting Grinnell for an appointment at the hospital and asked the front desk at the hotel for recommendations on a place to eat. They recommended this place but unfortunately we didn’t even get to try the food. We were sat by the bartender whom seemed friendly but we sat in the booth for a good 20 minutes as the waiter cleaned tables and waited on customers that already had their food and drinks meanwhile not acknowledging we were there. Bar tender stood at the bar on her phone and didn’t bother to even get our drinks or let us know someone would be right with us. Needless to say we walked out and can’t believe as we were walking out the waiter was just standing up front. Seriously what has happened to customer service these days?
