What a cozy cute establishment! We went for breakfast, and was not disappointed. They sat us (6) right away upstairs with no wait. The hostess was friendly, and the waitress as well. Food was excellent! I had the seafood Benedict. Unbelievable! The crab cake is big and flavorful, the egg cooked perfect, and the hollandaise sauce was great as well! Everyone was happy with their plate, and would come here again.

I like the waffle, i can probably add little more flavor but is good, i got it with bacon!

Relaxing and quick, the Hometown Cafe pleases the hungry appetite. I had the turkey pannini – although it was good, it wasn’t as good as the chicken wrap that a member of our family tried. There’s a wide selection of lemonade and iced teas to accompany your meal and the Ranger Cookie has great flavor and can be shared by two people.

The food was yummy, and the service was great. The waitress and waiter seemed to work as a team. The only throwback that i had was they didn’t remove the empty plates off our table. I wish they did so that i could have more room on the table. Other then that it was a relaxing place the staff were friendly.

Went to this place for the first time today and won’t be back. My daughter ordered apple juice that she told me didn’t taste right, when I tried the juice it was clear that it was rotten and tasted like it had spent 10 weeks fermenting into hard cider. Food was mediocre tasting and the second we got our food we had fruit flys SWARMING us and crawling all over our food. When we told the waitress multiple of them came to our table and apologized and explained they don’t know what’s causing the flies and that half their dining area was closed because of it and offered to move us to a different table, which we declined because it was very obvious the flies were just all over. They said the health department has been coming to visit trying to eradicate them and they “can’t figure out what it is”. One waitress said she’d get the owner and then came back and said the owner wouldn’t speak to us but wasn’t going to charge us for our meal (that bugs were crawling all over). I should think not. We parked out back and had to walk by the kitchen on our way out, which the door was open to and it didn’t look sanitary to me. They had a giant unmanned stack of potato peels just sitting on the counter. No wonder you can’t get the fly problem to go away. My stomach is starting to hurt and I’ll be calling the health department.

We celebrated my mother’s 88th birthday breakfast and the staff went above and beyond to make her and our experience special! The food and service were exceptional! We highly recommend this great restaurant!

I normally love this place my husband got breakfast for takeout and it was awful! He has asked for a side of bacon and got one piece. My eggs were supposed to be over easy I would have settled for over medium but at this point they were almost a hard boiled egg. My gf pancakes were cold in the middle and had little pieces of onion on them. Not sure what happened here. I guess don’t get take out only dine in!

I always cook Thanksgiving dinner from scratch for my family, but this year I’m pregnant and feeling all-day-sickness, vomiting, etc. So I decided to order food and this place had good reviews. I’m actually sad to write this review, but I have to be honest: nobody liked the food. Presentation was bad, stuffing was not good at all (looked like dog food), canned green beans instead of fresh. We had high hopes, but I guess we’re way too spoiled by my homemade food. I make fresh green beans from scratch, they have vibrant colors and crunchy texture. My classic stuffing is to dye for, full of flavor. I’m so disappointed, it kinda ruined our Thanksgiving dinner. Oh well, by Christmas I’ll be feeling better and will be able to cook for my family all the delicious food they love!

One of my friends recommended that we try Hometown Charm Cafe for a brunch date.

So after many years in the area, I finally took the time to try this local restaurant. Tucked into downtown Sumner, surrounded by antique shops and other quaint, locally owned stores, it is a true charm.
