The food was absolutely delicious! There are so many “soul food” restaurants with good food, but not as many with food that really taste like big mama made it. Homestyle Kitchn definitely has big mama’s recipe! Although the prices may seem a bit high (as compared to other similar soul food restaurants), the food is worth it.

I ordered the oxtails (which comes with rice and peas), my two sides were Mac and cheese, and salted caramel yams. I also ordered a oxtail empanada and a Mango Pineapple lemonade. EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND PERFECTLY AMAZING! My food was ready when I arrived and fresh! I give it 10 stars!

My experience was nothing short of amazing with this restaurant. I ordered on Uber eats which was very convenient. I had the mambo lamb chops, smoked turkey collards, mac n cheese, salted caramel candied yams, and mango pineapple lemonade. First of all the mango pineapple lemonade tasted like it belonged at an elite baby shower lol. It tasted like some really good baby shower punch, which I loved. The lamb chops were so tender and juicy and flavorful. I almost ate the bone too lol. The sides were just perfect! The smoked turkey collards were the perfect flavor, had a little kick to it, but I wasn’t mad at it. They were amazing. The mac & cheese was perfect, and the salted caramel candied yams melted in my mouth. Everything was just so amazing and I’m glad I got to experience this restaurant during my self care weekend in Charlotte!

My friend and I ordered Tuesday night and let my tell you this food did not disappoint. && it’s worth the price. I got the rack of lambs, Mac and cheese, and collard green. Freakkkking amazing. I spoke with one of the chefs and he was super personable, made sure I checked to make sure everything was too my liking. As I told him – I’ll be backkk. I’m giving y’all the chefs kiss just perfect.

Ordered through ubereats the chili glazed salmon, greens, macand cheese, candied yams, and pineapple cake. It wasn’t a bad meal. Definitely overprices what I got. And sadly they did not include the yams which I was excited about the most. The cake was definitely small for the price. I would they this place again just something different on the menu

I recently heard about this restaurant, so I decided to try it for Valentines Day. The online ordering opened promptly at 6pm. We ordered the stuffed salmon, Bangkok salmon, lobster tail, Philly steak and cheese empanadas, collard, yams, and Mac n cheese. It took an additional 20 min to receive our food once we arrived! But when I tell you this food is WORTH the wait….I mean it!!! This is some of the BEST food I’ve experienced in Charlotte! I’ll challenge it against many of the popular restaurants in the area. The food is perfectly seasoned, fresh, and plentiful!
