The food was good, but right after I ordered a group of 5 came in and it didn’t seem to take much to overwhelm the staff. There was only one person on the register, but he was also having to deal with phone in orders. So, good food but be prepared to hang around a bit. I had the smoked chicken plate. The chicken was pulled so I felt I got more than if it had been on the bone. The family recipe sauce was VERY thin, but did have a good flavor. It just didn’t stick to anything. The hot and the mild were also also thin, but not as much. The sweet was VERY thick, which made me think in comparison it was not homemade. The “Holy” comes in because they play Christian music. For me, I’m not a fan of the religion but the food was good.

Worst bbq I’ve ever had!!! Ordered the combo plate with 4 dollars up charge for brisket.. chicken was not bbq, more like shredded steamed chicken, pulled pork same and no flavor. The brisket had some what smoke flavor but dry. Staff is friendly though. I gave 2 stars because of the friendly staff. Terrible bbq..

Had a pulled pork sandwich and mac and cheese it was delicious. The hot BBQ sauce could ask who we be ten times hotter in my opinion but I really enjoy spicy foods. Calling all the flavor was very good the pork had a good smoke flavor. I would definitely be back and the prices are very affordable. Also the staff was very nice courteous and friendly.

Best BBQ I’ve had in a very long time. I had the pulled pork with sweet potato fries and cornbread. I wish I had two stomachs so I could eat it again. The atmosphere is perfect; hanging mason jar lights with exposed ceiling joists. Service was quick and staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend anyone checking this place out and I will definitely be back. Oh, the price? They could have charged double and I’d go back and ask for seconds, but they were priced below what I would normally pay for this good of BBQ. I can’t say anything bad about this place or give them any constructive criticism. Delicious!!!

The food was great! We had brisket and it was so tender. The show stealer was the collard greens…best I have ever had..wish I had the recipe! You can get pulled pork, brisket, sausage, or chicken, either as a plate with 2 sides and cornbread or Texas toast (we had the plates at $11.50 each) or as a sandwich which is a couple bucks less. Drinks are $2.00. Dining area is smallish and parking can take a bit, but definitely worth it. Very pleasant staff. Simple but clean decor. Will return.

I had the pulled pork plate. The texture & flavor were great. My wife got the brisket plate & it was very tender. Their hot sauce had a good flavor but wasn’t too spicy. Will definitely be coming in agan for some great barbecue.

Mixed experience…pork and ribs were good both times we have been, but the brisket was dry both times. Great flavor and smoke. Sides were all delicious, especially the collards. Staff is super nice and helpful. Just wish the brisket was better since it is my favorite.

I’m giving two star’s because the place is clean inside, and the staff is super friendly. Unfortunately, that’s where the positive ends. The brisket was served in a bowl, swimming in water, and was very rubbery as if it had been boiled. Had to completely smother it in sauce to eat it. We also ordered the pulled pork, and while it looked decent, it had a similar flavor that had to be completely drenched and barbecue sauce to choke it down. The shoestring fries were undercooked and flimsy, the cornbread was completely dry and crumbly, however the Brunswick stew was actually edible. I don’t normally talk so down about a place, but the barbecue here is absolutely terrible.

Customer Service was exceptional, but sadly this was the only great thing about this restaurant. I had the pulled pork sandwich with Brunswick stew and was hit with a strong sense of mediocrity. The pork was not bad, but it definitely was not anything great. Same goes for the Brunswick stew. Worst of all their homemade sauces were terrible. An abomination to barbecue sauces. At least the carry some good barbecue sauces in Sweet Baby Ray’s and Williamson Brothers. I will not be eating here again.

Ordered the Brisket with potatoe salad! Very friendly staff and the food is to die for delicious! The staff informed me the brisket is smoked for 8 hours and cooked for 4! They had a variety of sauces. I tried the Hot and Mild, both were tangy and the right amount of spice for my preference. The restaurant is a hole in the wall with maybe 500 sq/ft of dining available. A true off the beatin’ path jewel in Georgia!
