Great to have Holmans back. The place looks much the same, which is cool. When they bring back table service and normal breakfast hours I’ll probably go 5 stars.

This place has changed. Miss the old so Holman’s so much. Food was lousy, zero table service, the bartender was sweet but no one checked on us, we sat with empty drink glasses for 32 min , so we decided to leave. Used to be a fave, will not be back.

They helped rebirth a badass pub. of you are in the area I would say this spot is worth experiencing. The new staff helps make this place shine! Welcome back Holmans!

***BEWARE*** I’d choose a negative rating if I could. ‘Owners wife’ will have you kicked out for knocking on the bathroom door. ‘Owners wife’ will then also preceded to call you discriminatory names and comment on your appearance.

This looks like a bar that’s been around a while, which it has. The interior is dimly lit and dark, but not uncomfortable or stuffy. There was the typical smell of stale beer that most bars get and there were divets in our table. If you don’t mind a place showing its age a bit, you should enjoy the atmosphere.

Great bar, great service. The Bloody Mary self-serve bar on Sunday is decent. The breakfast options are really good & super cheap (the Morning Mess was crazy huge & tasty). Returned in the evening & had the most amazing gorgonzola fries, & delightful mac & cheese bites (see photos). Only downside was that the Jameson/Irish cream coffee we ordered (no price on table menu) was a lot more $ than we expected: two each came to $30.

This rating is despite being a nice venue with decent food it isn’t for everyone. If you want to eat in a place the reminds you of an old Elk’s club then it is for you. The service was nice but definitely ended as soon the bill/tip was settled. The food was good and exactly what I want from a diner for breakfast. I had the Taco Omelet and quite a bit of sides. I was stuffed afterwards. I’d recommend this place for anyone interested in an old-fashioned style diner.

The Burgers, The Breakfast, Build your own Bloody Mary’s on the weekends. A true Portland staple. I spun the wheel and won a free meal once. Pool, Pinball, Video Poker, Patio. Old School Portland fave.
