For a small Kentucky town, you expect a limited amount of food places with a limited amount of choices… however Paducah’s Hokkaido sushi did not disappoint with a wide variety of US Japanese classics in the heart of downtown… For more specialized items, you would find in more elevated Japanese restaurants and Japan, they would not be able to provide them. But the flavors are pretty much on point! It’s a decent place in a small city!

Food was excellent. Everyone that worked there was alright. Not really friendly and not very helpful. Bathrooms were disgusting. Also, not a place I would bring my children back to. The rude looks my entire family got for our kids just laughing out loud was ridiculous. The food was amazing though. For 2 adults and 1 kid I paid about $80.

The food is delicious. I always get full and sometimes need a box. The portion sizes are large. We have never been disappointed when eating here. I took my sister recently and she loved it as well. It may be a new “I have to go to” place for her when she comes home to visit.

So many restaurants offering sushi don’t get the rice right. Hokkaido is not one of those restaurants, they are on point with the rice and the sushi was absolutely fantastic. The hibachi for my kids was cooked to perfection. I will be coming back.

Sushi, bento box, seaweed salad were all tried. The food was a welcome reprieve from most of the cuisine nearby. Staff was forgetful, yet kind. Atmosphere needs a lift as it is dark and sticky.

Food is yummy. I do love coming here. But way overpriced. But my main thing I wanted to comment was, Ive served for the last 8 years, and if a customer walks in 45 minutes before close, you should still serve them. If you dont want to serve them and choose to turn guests away instead, then you should change your closing time. Dont say you close at 9 if you’ll turn guests away at 815.
