Had the Pork Katsu Don and Miso Ramen for dinner. It was our first time here on a weeknight, but seems like a popular place as we arrived before 6 pm and got the last free table! They were also busy with takeout orders. The ramen was flavourful and filling for a meal with a thick piece of tender pork, lots of bamboo shoots, and a soft-boiled egg. The katsu don had an impressive amount of deep fried pork pieces that lined the entire top of the bowl. It had the egg nicely broken on top with a couple of yellow pickles. As the bowl was very meat heavy, it would have been nice to have a few more vegetables to balance it out! That being said, the food was comforting and we’d come back.

Stopped here for a quick lunch & it definitely hit the spot. My partner & I shared an order of Teriyaki Ramen with a side of Kimchi & a Spicy Tuna Roll. I’m not a Ramen connesiour, but I quite enjoyed it. The Spicy Tuna Roll was quite good as well. Good size, with a nice bit of heat. The side order of Kimchi was on the small side, but delicious. Service was quick & friendly. Prices are little on the high side, but the portions are good & everything was fresh & tasty, so you get what you pay for. Definitely looking forward to trying their other dishes.

Food looks and tastes okay. Hokkai’s ramen and chicken donkatsu were okay, but the salad still had a bit of soil on it. It probably needed some more washing. Overall, okay experience.

The katsu was tough…… either from over cooking, or being cooked ahead of time and being tired of waiting. Not enough sauce, the rice absorbed some, but not enough to add flavor.

It’s a small restaurant but they have a good amount of seating. It wasn’t too busy when we went around lunchtime and got seated right away. They let the 2 of us sit at a table for 4 instead of the table for 2 which is nice. Service was excellent and fast. We had the Hokkai ramen and it was so good. The soft egg was cooked to perfection. The bamboo was tasty. We would definitely recommend this place.
