Pricing was what you would expect for BBQ. With a plate (1/3 lbs of meat and two sides) costing around $13 you will not be disappointed. The Brisket is “cut with a fork” soft and has a good smoky flavor. Do yourself a favor and get the cowboy beans, a white baked bean variety with some serious spice. The mac & cheese is made with a white cheese and in my opinion is lack luster compared to the rest of the dish. The sauces are superb, but do not glance over the chipotle vinegar. A splash of that would bring the flavor out in any meat.

Has anyone even dare to try their pulled chicken? I mean come on, who can even match pulled chicken with hogfathers moist and Meaty servings? I dare the general public to try the hog trough and walk away in a straight line. Matt, Shane, you guys are awesome! I enjoy looking forward to my next visit and introducing you to my friends. I have one request, please make your everyday menu easier to find on the website so that I can order ahead. Great job, well done.

I came here for a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. Staff was extremely friendly. Brisket and pulled pork were excellent and potato salad was out of this world. I’m so glad that this is in Nicholasville

Do not pass this place by, just cause it’s attached to a gas station. The food was amazing friendly staff, clean and did I say the food was delicious. We will be regulars…. Not a cheep fast food place the food and portions. Are worth every penny
