I hated adjusting my previous 5-star review to only 2-stars today. It’s the 3rd time in a row that the potatoes were very uncooked – still had crunchy, raw, starchy potato taste. Yuck! Loaded bakers & potato skins. Had to take home to continue cooking.

The tender, juicy ribs and home-cooked tasting baked beans, cole slaw and Texas Toast were a pleasant surprise. Honestly we were looking for local soul food restaurants because we are from Oklahoma City and were just visiting while my daughter has a volleyball tournament. I was disappointed when the first 2 places we were looking for were closed. Based on location, I expected Hog Wild to be less flavorful than a usual mom and pop spot. However it was absolutely delicious, including my watermelon sweet tea. My daughter really enjoyed her double meat brisket loaded baked potato and my mom had the 3 meat dinner (ribs, hot links and brisket) and homemade peach cobbler. None of the meals disappointed. I would definitely return!

First time in, horrible customer service. Meat portions were tiny, maybe two ounces of meat per meat choice for the dinner pick two option.. I had to ask the girl if she was going to ask what meats and sides we would like. Gravy is burnt and mashed potatoes were really dry, they very loudly stated that the mashed potatoes had been pulled so they very clearly said they added water, stirred and heated them back up.

Very good bbq, decent portion for the 2 meat dinner. Had the pulled chicken and pork..the pork was very edible and wasn’t made of burnt ends and grizzle fat so major props there. Parking for the immediate lot is a bit tight BUT there is another abandoned business next door with plenty of spots you can walk from. Sits right across from a newer apartment building. Employees were helpful and friendly and they actually serve REAL cobbler prepackaged (apple and cherry when I went). They also had standard Coke products as well as Sweet and Unsweetened tea and even Watermelon tea…which even for a former Southerner was a first for me ever seeing…lol. 2 meat dinner with 2 sides, 2 slices of garlic toast, a regular drink and cobbler was $19.20 after tax. I’ll be back for sure.

Food is consistently good however my main complaint is the service occasionally they will mess up my order and charge me for stuff I’m not given it’s frustrating. It is on me though for not checking even though I know this happens. Just be aware they mess up from time to time.

I eat here probably monthly and enjoy the potatoes. Today I dropped in and I must say it was better than ever. The potato and brisket was perfect. The service and vibe between the employees was fantastic.

I wondered why the person taking our order appeared so apathetic until I sat down and realized the temperature in the dining room was the same as outside, 104 degrees. Owner, get the air conditioner repaired or allow your staff to use it. This is inhumane. We had to take our food to eat in the car. Tragic

The turkey breast meat is generally very good. However, the salads have been an ongoing issue. We do not like brown lettuce. Today, we returned the one salad because of brown lettuce. The replacement had the same problem. Ugh. Hopefully they’ll fix the problem so we don’t have to drop them.

Amazing food -as always for Hog Wild! Very clean, very efficient!!! HUGE plate sized potatoes with all the trimmings!!! Excellent location with in walking distance of major Hospital if you need to get out for a quick break. Meals can be made to go or sit and stay. Three meat dinner was huge and allowed for leftovers and the sandwich meal was perfect size STUFFED FULL of yummy MOIST meat on toasty buttered bun!!! Staff was friendly and very helpful in making choices. Definitely a must stop!
