We ordered two kids burgers and added cheese, a side of Mac n cheese and the BBQ brisket dinner. Portions were a good size, we could have all gotten full just sharing the brisket dinner. The Mac n cheese was not the favorite but the baked beans were a hit! We really enjoyed the brisket sandwiches. The sauce is sweet but a lovely compliment…the kids were done with their meals by the time the dinner plate was served. They did have a lot of delivery orders to fill while we will there. We’ll definitely be back, there was a large variety of good looking dishes

Myself and a fellow MARINE had lunch, we met TERAH!!!! She is soooo AMAZING. She served us, and it was an absolutey wonderful experience. I do encourage and strictly charge to visit their Monongahela, Canonsburg, or Washington locations they have an AWESOME discount for veterans. The food is the BOMB! Thank you TERRAH!!!

Great BBQ – which can be hard to find in western PA – makes this a real gem of the Mon Valley! Their ribs were delicious and I’m glad they offer a whole rack because I had my fill there and then great leftovers. Fantastic eats, and the prices weren’t bad either. The service was pleasant and helpful, but we weren’t rushed or bothered too much at all. It was great being able to enjoy a nice leisurely meal on a Saturday afternoon. Beyond the classic BBQ, it doesn’t hurt that their fried chicken sandwich is incredible too – I’m about convinced this place can do no wrong. They even have some of my favorite mac and cheese of anywhere, which is no small achievement either! I can’t wait to go back and demolish some more ribs. 🙂

Went here yesterday for one of the worst dinning experiences of my life. This place has good reviews and I see them all the time on doordash and Uber eats, we decided to eat inside …. The brisket had more of a burnt flavor than smoke, it was cut too thin and almost reminded me of an Arby’s sandwich. The mashed potatoes are instant potatoes, and the cheapest kind possible , the waitresses and cooks were just carrying on amongst themselves singing, making weird noises, and talking amongst themselves instead of waiting on the whole 3 families that were in there. I give it zero stars, definitely don’t recommend to a friend.

Best BBQ in the valley! Me and my father went the other day after hearing about it from fiends and were blown away! The ribs were huge and fell right off the bone, the fried chicken was to die for, and all the sides were delicious! Service was top notch and our drinks were always topped off before needing to be, the food came quick, and the establishment was nice and tidy. Prices were great for the portion size, and we definitely left full! We will definitely be adding Hog Fathers to our short list of local favorites!

Unfortunately we must have ordered on a bad night. We got spinach artichoke dip, steak bites, and garlic mashed potatoes. Horrible is not even the word to describe this experience. We ordered the steak medium rare and they came well done. The spinach artichoke dip was $10 for maybe a cup of flavorless dip and stale chips. Paid $60 for food that would’ve been better getting it from Walmart. The mashed potatoes were watery and tasted like they were boxed. By the time we got our food they were closed so couldn’t even call.

The food, the sweet tea & the service were all excellent. We both were satisfied & full when we left. The pulled barbecue was just like I had hoped that it was, southern! My companion had a hamburger and she was very pleased with the way it was cooked and the flavor.

Food portions are large. The staff at the time of our visit was excellent. The food was way above average for PA barbecue restaurants. I travel and eat barbecue all over the country. Their beef brisket was pretty damn good. Very top tier for this part of the country. Their Mac and cheese is unique. I love it but it has a heavy black pepper note so your mileage may vary. Then there is the white chocolate raspberry cake. Wow! You get a piece of cake that’s 1/4 the size of the entire cake. You will need a doggie bag when you eat here. I’m not local to this area but I’ve been here many times in the past and to date have never had a bad experience at this particular restaurant. Has a great take out service also.

We have been to Hog Father’s many times and have always been satisfied, but after tonight, I will certainly rethink things. I ordered chicken fajitas and when they brought out the sizzling plate of chicken, the chicken itself was pink and cold. Yes, the skillet was screaming hot, but the chicken was not. I understand things happen, but our waitress did not return until my husband was done eating his meal. I told her that my meal was not edible because it was cold and pink, and I was not going to take any chances. She came back with the bill and acted like she did me a favor by taking 25% off of my $17 meal. That is ludicrous! So, I still paid $12.75 for something that was inedible. To me, that is just poor customer service and tells me they do not value their customers. Granted, I have only been at this location a few other times, but this is certainly not what we have become accustomed to from hog fathers and their other locations. I guess they need my $13 more than they need customers patronizing them in the future. Certainly a very disappointing experience!
