If you are looking for large portions of fresh hot Southern food then “HODGES” is your place They serve mac and cheese, corn bread, pulled pork, black eyed peas, MeatLoaf, potatoe salad and so much more. I cannot forget to mention how friendly and helpful the staff is. We will definitely be frequenting this resturant

I didn’t order anything cuz they didn’t have a lot of options. My friend did but even she just kinda put together a random plate. Even customers who seemed to be regulars walked out disappointed in the selection. I will give them another chance because they are black owned but definitely gotta step it up in the kitchen. And please clean up in there. The atmosphere inside is not at all welcoming or clean.it feels old and shabby and that makes the food feel old and shabby too.

Food is good but the service is AWFUL!!!! Waited in line 40 mins to get a veggie plate and when I got to the point of ordering the woman was more concerned about wiping the counter off than making my plates. When asked (2mins) later if we could could get service, the short black woman at the counter yelled as if someone was being rude to her!

I just had the most delicious meat loaf. And the service I received was kind warm patient because I was a little undecided lol. I felt like a valued customer and my food was really good so I’m going back I wanna try some ribs next time…

Just moved to the area and discovered Hodge’s. Visited 3 times and it was alright until today. Walked in and was greeted by 3 small, rude and bluntly disrespectful children. I endured their ridicules for a while before I spoke up and said something to “them”. I politely said “It is not polite to talk about people and be disrespectful”. Which I then was given an under-breath reply of “shut up” from the smallest. It was obvious that they were a staff members children, but not one adult in the place (on front line or in the back) apologized or spoke up. I have a thick skin and all but, to be spending money in a business and having to be subjected to disrespectful children and the parent says nothing to me nor addresses the children is unacceptable. Parenting is hard I get it but be accountable. I refused to purchase anything from them but I paid the $14.00+ for my mother’s food. Hodge’s you have lost my business.

The business is a lesser version of the original Hodges, which had an EXCELLENT BBQ red sauce that was delicious on bread alone. I’ve only eaten twice since this place has opened because the quality of the food wasn’t worth it. That was about two years ago. The ribs weren’t as smokey and tasty as before. The employees are less grumpy but still with plain faces. I bet they’d smile if the palm-colored locals enter to dine. Lately, my relatives will eat the food to-go. I went with then but did not go inside. I did notice a boarded window and an unattended spider in front on that window space near the front side door. I hope no one gets into the web because that’s not a baby spider or a lazy insect. They’ll continue to have my relatives as customers but not me. I think this place should be renamed because Hodges had long lines out of the door and good-tasting BBQ ribs, macaroni and cheese and BBQ sauce. Before the original Hodges had closed they did scale back on the quality of the vegetables by serving canned. If the original Hodges hadn’t closed, this is it BBQ wouldn’t have NEVER had me as a patron. Salute to the former Hodges and the ones that supported that dream. I heard that embezzlement is why the original Hodges went under.

I visited Hodges on a Sunday afternoon, I should’ve known when the parking lot was empty to keep going! The food was over priced the Mac and cheese was cold and watery the chicken was ok and the cornbread literally crumbled and wasn’t good the best thing was the cabbage. The cashier recommended ribs over the chicken my mom was not happy her whole plate is in the car. I won’t return bc the food was sitting out cold and drying out. I was so excited for soul food but I feel like I need a do over!
