Went to Hobo’s late one night, online said they were open but they said they were closed but still invited us in! We had an array of food. Cheese curds, potato salad, chicken wings, whole chicken, fish and chips, bbq lasagna….everything was scrumptious! And of course we got drinks! And it was like the drink was made just for you. The atmosphere and the staff were amazing!!!! Definitely going back!

Really enjoyed the gringo sandwich, meat was tender and smoked just right. Crunchy fries and the dipping sauce was delicious. The waiter Kevin is friendly, helpful and easy going. Good company. Knowledgeable mixologist.

Excellent sauce for people loving flavor. While the brisket was great, I was surprised the Tritip was delicious. It was peppery and juicy. This place is not for people who have weak spice tolerance.

Ordered the bbq lasagna and a quarter pound of burnt ends. Noticed that brisket wasn’t on the menu and the guy said they took it off the menu because they couldn’t keep it moist. Not a good sign for a bbq joint. Food came and they brought ribs instead of burnt ends. So then I had to wait longer. Apparently the original owner sold the place a few months ago. The new owners want to add “cantina” to the name and keep most of the menu. Good luck.

Under new management so some of the photos listed for this spot are no longer served. Tri tip and brisket sre pre-sliced and reheated on a flattop. Brisket is cut way too thin. Server was nice enough to offer a different meat (so I did tri tip). By the look and taste of things, they are not using a commerical warmer but rather are reheating stuff from cold. Can’t specifically order lean (flat) or fatty (point). Pulled pork is more of an Eastern style chopped but was moist with a sweet tang. Fried cheese curds are good (duh, fried cheese) but would be stellar with drizzled maple syrup (which they don’t have but hopefully will buy a bottle for future customers)

Under new management, but just as bad as before. I can’t speak to the quality of food because because they wouldn’t cook food for me. I made an online order and when I showed up they told me sorry, we didn’t recieve any online orders and even though I already paid and could show my receipt they basically said tough sh–. I am on my own to tey to hint down a refund. So, buyer beware. Definitely don’t google the restaurant and make an online order.

We showed up on a saturday before dinner only to find a 1 person show. The waiter was the host, cook, and busboy. The first five items we ordered they were out. When finally ordering the my 6th choice on the menu which was chili spaghetti it wasn’t edible. There was no indication by the waiter or on the menu it was spicy hot. I took 2 bites. The waiter said afterwards he should have warned us, noting it had 4 different types of hot peppers. We hears it was under new ownership and he felt bad that he took off the proce of the spaghetti and another 15% for being out of everything. The coleslaw was good as well as the heath bundt cake otherwise this place needs an overhaul before Guy Fieri continues to rerun this resturant. Save your time and money. Go to the RibShack or Firehouse in Fallbrook if you want good service and BBQ.

We saw this place on Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives, and had to try it out. It exceeded our expectations. It’s actually a bit of an upper scale BBQ place and very clean. The atmosphere was pleasant, the decor easy on the eye. Loved seeing Johnny Cash on the wall along with Jimmie Hendrix. A couple of big tables came in before us so we waited a bit for drinks but that was ok. I got a Cheesy Burger without cheese (haha), my husband got a Brisket sandwich and we shared a whole order of fries. They have a Tangy Chipotle BBQ that I put on my burger and it was delish! Oh did I tell you they make their own pickles? Yum! My husband couldn’t say enough about the brisket. I tasted it, perfect smoke ring and bark and the flavor was really good. The French fries were especially good. They have a sort of breading, seasoned well and fried to perfection. You have to try their fry sauce too… Oh, and they had Shiner Bock my husband’s favorite beer! We will be back, great job HOBO’s

Friendly service and great food. Our server, Kevin, did a great job and was Johnny-on-the-spot with anything we needed. This was our first visit and we’ll definitely come back.

I was super excited to try Hobo BBQ at the BBQ Rally, and wound up INCREDIBLY disappointed. I paid for the WORST hotdog that I’ve ever even put in my hands . It was way over cooked, tastes like rubber and was tiny. I could have made a better hotdog at home, Walmart sells better hotdogs in their deli. I wish I would have taken a photo, but I took one bite and threw it in the trash. Hopefully they step their game up, by A LOT. Not even worth the 3$ I paid for it
