1st time here since vacationing in OC. My daughter took me here for my birthday & everything was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! Not only is the view beautiful but everything from our apps, entrée & drinks was above & beyond our expectations. Our server Natalie was an absolute JOY to speak with. She was very knowledgeable about the menu & cocktails if we had questions, which is rare anymore. Natalie is a great asset to this establishment! Also, all I can say is kudos to the chef who definitely has his/her pulse on what the patrons would enjoy & expect from a quality establishment! Will most definitely return when in OC & highly recommend. Thank you to everyone for making our 1st visit very pleasurable!!

Hands down, this is the best food in OC, MD. We have dined at several Michelin star restaurants and we cannot understand how the Hobbit hasn’t been recognized yet. The “lemon basil libation” was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. The appetizers (smoked beef carpaccio and lamb lollipops) were divine. We split a blackened filet with a crab cake and it was perfection. Not to mention the view of the bay and the terrific service! I appreciated that the staff were knowledgeable about the menu and navigating my food allergies too. We don’t visit OC but once a year, but we can’t wait to come back here again. They made our 5 year anniversary unforgettable!

When I heard that The Hobbit was a fine dining restaurant, it was a bit of a surprise — but I’m not sure what I was expecting to begin with anyways. On Tuesday morning we heard about it, and fortunately were able to book for Thursday. We had been hoping to be seated on the patio but it had been raining all day — the restaurant called and asked if we’d mind being seated inside instead a few hours before.

Absolutly one of the best dining experiences. We were on vacation and our daughter found this gem of a place. Very elegant and breathtaking. The staff was very welcoming and down to earth. Our waiter was phenomenal. Very on point, and the food, well, let me just say, we left with a deliciously full belly. Our son had the filet and it cut like butter. The crab soup was perfect. Every meal was so delectable and well-made. Desert to die for!! Will definitely go again. The view was gorgeous.

Huge fan of Tolkien so when I saw the name.. I was like hell yes! The entrance did look like a hobbit house.. other than that.. I didn’t feel like a Hobbit.. but… the service and food was absolutely amazing. Best there.. we went to several other fine dining places.. food was amazing but the servers and manager came out to talk to us. To me.. that’s a place that’s top notch. Not only are they asking how food is.. they are getting to know you. This was only restaurant I went to that manager came out to introduce himself.. so in true hobbit instruction.. he did make us feel at home.. I’m not one for dessert.. I actually hate sweets but ordered the famous one they got.. first time I actually devoured dessert. My fiance was surprised and laughing as I didn’t want to share! Anyway I’ve been all over states and put this place in top 5 places to eat. Service alone was worth it! Will definitely be going back!
