Foul rotten and disgusting. I took a gamble and lost. Where to start?… The rice was floating in some dark liquid, soy sauce possibly, it was essentially a small pond with rice and it tasted like burnt hair. The “sesame chicken” was all batter with a drizzle of sauce more on the bag then on the chicken. Finally the egg roll was sliced in half and tasted like a rotten peppery cabbage. Inside is depressing and dirty to my amazement as they do not have dine in or buffet no longer so why is it dirty? Bathroom “out of order” 10/10 would not recommend.

I never leave reviews but felt I needed to share for others to consider. Recently moved to River Falls and was looking for a new Chinese spot to get food on my way home from work. Gave this place a try and never returning. Food was overpriced for what it was. I order chow fun, fried rice, lo mein and 2 soups which totaled $54! They also never provided me with my receipt so for all I know, they overcharged me! The Chow Fun was soggy and gross, the pork fried rice as others have mentioned tasted burnt with a slight spoiled smell/taste w/ burnt pork and had a soggyness to it too. I asked for hot chili oil and they charged $2 for that! Im all about supporting local businesses but this ain’t it…save your money and go elsewhere.

I want to love this place it was by far one of the best resteraunts in the area grown up, its just not nearly as good as it used to be. Burnt poor tasting food lo mein and fried rice taste like the smell of burnt hair, Phoenix chicken was hard General tsoa chicken felt like it was reheated. Egg rolls were good. wontons cream cheese tastes off. I’m so disappointed how did you guys let it go so far downhill.

Today was the first time I’ve eaten at Ho King for 6 or 7 years. Didn’t eat there at any point during the pandemic. Pretty noticeable drop in quality since I’ve last eaten there. The sesame chicken, which used to be pretty good, doesn’t even look the same. The breading used to have a good crunch to it, now is kind of mushy and not nearly as satisfying. Ive eaten sesame chicken at many different restaurants and if you were to put this in front of me and tell me it was sesame chicken, I’d call you a liar.Very noticeable that they are using cheaper ingredients. I went here today because I haven’t been in quite a while and I had good memories of this place. It makes me sad to say I won’t be coming back.

Was very excited to see all the 5 star reviews and wanted to try their buffet. My wife and I drove out half an hour only to show up at their front door with a big sign saying “no take out and no buffet” This is not indicated on their website so we drove all the way over there for nothing.

Messy Mushy food. Hard to mess up an egg roll but weird flavor and overcooked cabbage and chicken, no other veggies. Everything over cooked to hell with no texture at all. No sauce with freezer-burned over-cooked cream cheese wontons. Cheap containers got sauce all over my car. Woman at counter was nice, they’re super small staff and you can tell they’re struggling but really disappointed and tbh kind of disgusted. Not even finishing my meal and won’t be returning.
