I had the beef enchiladas and they were pretty outstanding. Most Mexican restaurants I visit don’t seem to care about enchiladas and they are typically underwhelming but these are actually good. I was looking at the flautas but they just seemed way over priced for flautas. Brittani at the bar provided awesome service . Which is why i gave the place 4 stars instead of 3 or 2. The older dude at the bar before her wasn’t very good and i would’ve gave y’all 2 or 3 stars. Other than that it was just your typical basic overpriced airport restaurant.

I am 40 years old and this is the worst “restaurant” I’ve ever eaten at. I’m also Mexican & I will tell you this is NOT Mexican food and a disgrace to our culture. Do not waste your money on this slop. The service was terrible. The staff were cleaning unoccupied tables before they wiped our table down (after we asked nicely) & we had to wipe our own table off because they never came.

Waiting to board a plane in El Paso, Texas? Hungry as well? Then I recommend this joint to go grab a bite to eat. It’s mostly Mexican food. And yes, it’s 90% or more true Mexican food. I’m sorry if you like Tex-Mex s$#$ but it’s not served here.

If I could give a negative review I totally would. Had the worst experience in a restaurant I’ve had in my entire life. Mind you I’m from El Paso and I have gone to this restaurant many times but never the one in the airport, so it has nothing to do with the food. My children and I waited for about 15 minutes after we were sat for someone to get our drink order. There was another table in the back and a waiter would pass our table and attend to them until the hostess told him that we were his table, in which he refuses to take our table and tells her that it was another waiters table, so she tells him that the other waiter didn’t want out table that it was his. Once again we wait an additional 10 mins before he comes to our table obviously upset and takes our 5 WATER order (so difficult right?!). We wait another 15 minutes for our waters when I notice him at the order screen doing something with receipts . Still has not brought out our waters, so I go up and ask him if he was going to bring them in which he replies ” no im sorry, another waiter needs to take your order because I’m just too busy.” I was shocked! Not as shocked as I then saw him and the other waiter fight in front of the whole restaurant about who’s table ours was going to. Neither one of them wanted to take our table. We’ve never felt so unwanted in a business in all our lives. I can’t believe Carlos and Mickeys would hire such unprofessional unwilling to work individuals. That was the last time I was going to be able to sit and have dinner with my dad in a very long time since he was flying out right after we were going to eat there. Of course we talked to the manager and nothing was done. She apologized but my dad was leaving and I suppose she figured she couldn’t do much about it. But this goes to show the type of work ethic people at Carlos and mickeys look for. This is an old and established restaurant so who ever is doing the hiring is dropping the ball. But I will take this up with someone hire than the manager there and I hate the fact that I didn’t get that waiters name but I won’t be hard to find out.

Best local option in the airport. There’s two of these restaurants: a sit-down outside security and a smaller walk-up between gates B6 and B11. Both are tasty, and the small one is perfect for a quick local Mexican food meal like tacos burritos or quesadillas. The taste is authentic.
