We ate here with a group of 6 and everyone liked their food. The food selection is broad and best described as American-style, with all the typical items. The dining room is large, but cozy, and many of the tables have a decent view of the lake, albeit through a main hallway.

We went here for our honeymoon… WORST DECISION!!! We ended up leaving early. Location is beautiful, but the rooms are outdated and dirty. Our shower head did not let water out properly, no room service in between days of stay, we had to take our own trash out, we went down to the front desk to ask for fresh towels and they told us they were out… how do you run out of fresh towels at a hotel? So dirty.. we had maybugs in our room and told front desk and nobody came to clean them up and we told them they were dead in the windowsills, the pieces of popcorn ceilings were falling on the floor, the carpet had massive stains on it, the bathroom itself was dirty and we had no hand soap in the bathroom… tiny room and all of the furniture is worn down.. VERY UPSET! We left early because of the service and how gross the room was, never going back and telling people not to go there as well… absolutely disgusting! And not worth the money either! They want way too much for a gross hotel!

Great service and food! If you’re having breakfast, the fried biscuits are a must! For lunch/dinner, I suggest a side of the house chips and they have the best fried pickles! Some food was amazing, some food was ok, but nothing was bad. I guess they’ve made some improvements since the negative reviews on here.

Buffet, when available, was very good. Servers are very friendly and check back frequently to see if you need drinks or to clear dishes. Some of the chairs could definitely use a tightening but all in all very good.

Had a decent meal on Friday night and nice breakfast buffet on Saturday morning. Samantha was our server and she was very friendly and efficient.

Best Sunday brunch in the area. Everything is now made to order and they’ll no longer offer their omelet bar which is a shame. I’d recommend sticking to their breakfast options.

Food was not great. The fries tasted like oil. the chicken sandwich fell apart as soon as it was picked up. Took over an hour for everything when there were only 3 other tables and it was 6pm. we were told no alcohol could be served because the waitresses weren’t old enough. We were more impressed by the local places a couple miles down the road

I was really looking forward to getting a great Midwest tenderloin sandwich. Ended up being disappointed by the taste of fish as they used oil that had been used the deep fry fish earlier. To enjoy the restaurant you must pay entry into the state park. Service was good.

Ordered food at open. It takes them so long to prepare it. You’ll easily wait 45 minutes to get your order maybe more. The food was literally inedible and based on the reviews about food poisoning I didn’t tempt fate. Also they shorted me a side dish but with the low quality it was little use demanding it. Never again.

The Potawatomi Inn and Restaurant is a very lovely historic lodge. The restaurant was excellent. The staff went out of their way to make my dinner very pleasant. Although I arrived just minutes before closing time, they provided me with a delicious full dinner and dessert. I had breakfast there the next morning, and again had delicious food and excellent service. The restaurant also has a lovely view of the lake.
