I ordered tonkotsu ramen and the broth is savory and thick, which is my favorite. The karage portion is surprisingly big given the price.

I came to this place three times. I really enjoy the ramen. I love the flavor, both miso flavor and the soy sauce flavor. For the combo (ramen + pork rice + salad), the portion is very generous. I love the soy sauce flavor (figure 1) and I think the flavor is perfect

Excited to see a location open up in San Mateo. It’s very solid ramen and their bowls/dons aren’t half bad either. Service was nice, though we did have a couple flies that just wouldn’t leave us alone. Definitely recommend this spot for a quick meal with a small group

We ordered 2 kinds of Ramen (shown on the picture). Both are very salty couldn’t even finish it. My mom couldn’t eat most of it because of the sodium as she is hypertensive. There were 4 of us and we spent close to $90 for just 4 bowls of ramen. This includes tip plus they also add 16% service charge so if you don’t pay attention, you’ll be surprise when you see the bill.

Drove to downtown San Mateo today for lunch and to walk around the park. The pork rice bowl pictures is what drew me to come here. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately and given watermelon mint infused water. We ordered the tonkatsu ramen ($16) and make it a combo ($6) which includes a side salad, and a small rice bowl. We also ordered the crispy chicken which was the most popular thing reviewed online and every single table there ordered it as well. I have to say the tonkatsu ramen and crispy chicken is one of the best we’ve ever had. People have referred to perfect crispy chicken before as “glass-like” but we never understood what that meant until today. One bite of it and it’s so crispy, the batter shatters with the crunch and inside is a perfect chicken. The ramen broth was good, ask for garlic and hot sauce which comes on the side. We also added extra chasu on the ramen, the cuts were thick and delicious. The pork bowl was really good as well, the combo doesn’t come with the poached egg, I didn’t add that because we had already ordered too much. Overall, I can’t wait to come here again. We loved it!

I was super surprised at how much I liked this even though my friends weren’t the biggest fans!

$23 for a bowl of vegan ramen — gratuity and tax included. The foundations were good. The noodles were perfectly cooked. The hot sauce was wonderful. The broth was divine: smoky and creamy. Unfortunately, the textured soy protein was awkward. It had the consistency of wet cat food. I would have preferred the ramen without it.

Friendly staff sat us right before they closed. The Ramen was really good, it comes with half an egg so I asked for the other half. You can choose thick or thin noodles in your soup.
