I had some Mac and cheese from there recently and it was disappointing. They must be watching YouTube videos of people making Mac and cheese with a roux or something because now their mac is runny. I don’t know if it’s just this place or if all of them have changed. I wish they would go back to when their mac really showed a cheese pull. Popeyes mac is better than their’s now.

The chicken was fresh but fried just a little too hard just for me. The owner was very friendly and polite. They were very fast but the side orders are slipping the Mac n Cheese noodles were over boiled and watery and there wasn’t any flavor at all nor was it baked like it used to be and the sweet potatoes were way too sweet, it’s obvious whoever they used to partner with for the side orders isn’t the same any more. I would do back for the chicken and fries but I’ll pass on any of the other side orders.

Love their 2 combo special. This the one location I can go to and they get it right. Food always hot and good. They give you the sides you are supposed to get with your combo and never skimp on the condiments. I’ve been to other Hip Hop chicken locations and they give u nothing or don’t have certain items.

Their fried chicken was a great addition to our Christmas dinner. It was a hit with my family. The service was professional and friendly. The atmosphere was clean and clear from people hanging around in the establishment even though it’s in the heart of the city.
