I lived on 4 different continents, and I could confidently say that Hinoki is one of my top 3 favorite restaurants of all time. Food freshness and taste is consistent and exceptional (I will let the pictures speak to that). COOL VIBES AT THIS UPSCALE ASIAN FUSION RESTAURANT AND COCKTAIL BAR – I was blown away by the delicious food and attentive service. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and has a cozy, inviting atmosphere. I would urge you to start with one of their craft cocktails while you peruse the menu! FOOD – The menu has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. We had the soup dumplings, lettuce wraps, blackened cod, and rib eye steak, which was plenty for 3 people. SERVICE – The service was top-notch. Our waitress (SO to Melissa!) was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to make great recommendations based on our preferences. She was also very attentive, refilling our drinks and checking on us regularly to make sure we were enjoying our meal. AMBIANCE – just a really cool upscale vibe, intimate and perfect for a first date perhaps if you’re looking to impress!! DRINKS – we just loved the cocktails, from the ‘Pornstar, to the excellent ‘Cosmo’s’ as well as the bespoke tequila/vodka cucumber concoction I was offered! SUMMARY Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hinoki Asian restaurant and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Asian cuisine in Greenwich CT.

definitely nice and upscale, but the vibes were not it. crowded because there were sooo many employees (12+ in one room at a time – which is excessive). servers took turns just watching us eat (i know they were meant to be attentive, but there was a lack of privacy that was uncomfy)

Last night was my first time at Hinoki in Greenwich. It won’t be my last! This was one of the best dinners I’ve ever had at a Japanese restaurant. The Soup Dumplings were great! The Greenwich roll was great! The Ginger Scallion Lobster was epic! If you want a truly great experience, make reservations at Hinoki! You’ll love it!

Probably the best sushi restaurant in Greenwich! The fish is super fresh and the play in flavors is perfect. The toro caviar taco was outstanding and so was the crispy rice with toro. We both took the sushi deluxe which was a very generous portion and every single sushi was packed with flavor and the fish was the outmost freshness. Service was a bit slow due to the fact that the restaurant was at capacity but they were still helpful and offering recommendations.

Loved Hinoki! Fun, upbeat vibe and fantastic, fresh sushi & sashimi. We got the Tuna Tartar, Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, Sushi Sashimi Combo, and Godzilla roll and all were so so good. I also ordered a cranberry/strawberry martini which was delicious. We went for dinner on Valentine’s Day and they had balloons everywhere, gave out roses and took Polaroid pictures which was really cute. Our server was super nice and helpful. We will definitely be back and also order takeout from here in the future!

My best friend recommended this place and she knows great sushi, so I had to try it. Wow, finally! Delicious, fresh sushi close by! Everything was so good… especially the toro sushi, the fluke with shiso sushi, as well as the crispy toro rice and miso eggplant!
