Great place, nice varied menu. Sweet waitress and an old fashioned soda fountain too! Love it, wish it was closer to home. I had the Crab stuffed flounder with grilled shrimp and hollandaise sauce on top plus snow peas. Al had the fried oysters and fried eggplant and corn fritters. He loved it, everything fried! Perfect!!!

Went for a late lunch at 2. No wait. Service was good food was delicious. We got the grilled shrimp with asparagus and red potatoes, and salmon avocado club sandwich. Recommend going there for good food.

A long time staple of downtown Columbia. Recently had a full rehab. A great place for a good diner, any meal of the day. Plenty of booths, tables, and counter seating if thats your thing. Neither too busy or too slow.

Our first time at Hinkle’s. We went on a Thursday at noon for food, and of course, Ice Cream! Very busy but we did get seated in the banquet room. Very friendly reception/seating/wait staff. Due to the full-size crowd, it was quite a wait for our Hinkle Burgers, but we passed the time relaxing and visiting. Since it was Thursday, and 1/2 price Milkshake Day we had to follow-up with milkshakes. Very Nice milkshakes to top off our lunch. if you are in the Columbia area, stop by Hinkel’s, for good food, pies and ice cream. They also have a nice gift shop to check out.

We had a great time eating lunch at Hinkle’s for the first time. Jess, our waitress, who has been working there for many decades was very nice. She shared the history of the restaurant with us. We learned that it used to also be a pharmacy. Loved the window seat, the french fries, and how hard everyone worked! We will definitely be back when we are in the area!
