First off, let me just say that the pounded yam was divine, the texture fits so well with the soup! The okro soup is so spicy yet elegant in taste you can really taste the best out of this dish. The plantano’s are so big and rich in sweet taste, I love my maduro’s and this place rocked that. The rice is so rich in flavor and fluffy as well, the Turkey is very meaty and juicy and not dry at all. The chicken as well is tender and juicy. Overall 5/5

My partner and I saw this restaurant near our apartment on a walk to the library and decided to stop in. Wow! Amazing Nigerian food and very friendly and welcoming staff. We got the Jollof rice with chicken — plenty for two people! Spice level was perfect. Plus extra plantains and a side of spinach (efo) with fish, recommended to us by our waiter, which was packed with flavor. We ate it all quickly, and will definitely be returning!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had, period! My friends and I had never eaten African food before and our server Nassalie (forgive me if I messed up the spelling!) recommended we get the jollof rice, spinach efo and some traditional sides to share. We also got the stockfish and my two friends had cocktails from their gorgeous looking bar. Everything we ate was outstanding! The stockfish was my personal favorite and I can honestly say it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. The rich, spicy flavor was unlike anything I’ve eaten before, and I was truly amazed at how spectacular it was. The jollof rice with chicken was also fantastic, and so was the spinach efo. Our sides of pounded yam (fufu) and plantain were perfect with the rich, hearty dishes. Also, my friends said the cocktails were superb.

They should have an option to give 10 stars. What can you say- some of the most delicious food we’ve had in New York, impeccable service, and people that care so much about the restaurant and making sure you have a great experience. Thankfully we live right around the block so will be back many more times. Can’t recommend enough

Upset they gave me meat in my meatless sauce request but the jollof rice (even though i suspect they cook this with chicken so again my husband couldn’t taste) being the best I’ve ever tasted in my 10 years here in the city, maybe my entire life, is INSANE. I can’t even describe how I felt consuming it. I pray they are consistently this good. Everything ordered was absolutely brilliant. I do hope they become absolutely transparent in what foods are handled with meat ingredients.

I haven’t had authentic African food in so long and this one place was an ABSOLUTE flavor bang! First, the drinks were flavorful and got the party started. While we waited, we enjoyed fresh chin chin. Everything was served family style which made the experience much more fun and interactive. We were served an epic variety of vegetarian/vegan dishes such as Sweet Plantain, Jollof Rice, Egusi Soup, Efo, Beans, and of course, the most fresh and soft Fufu. Everything had its own unique flavor and spice level and the flavor combinations were endless.
