We came here for a relative’s birthday and we were a larger group. Highlands provided us a private dining room with a spectacular view. We each ordered the three course meal and it was delicious. However, this is a high-end establishment so don’t expect the portions to be enormous. It was a great experience.

This place does not disappoint! Food, wine and service are impeccable. My only challenge is that it’s a little difficult to find within the hotel. A guest in my party has strict dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate with ease. She even was brought a separate bread plate with oil and vinegar due to her lactose intolerance. The care and thought was very appreciated! Perfect for any celebration big or small!

I set my expectations very high for our anniversary dinner, and Highland did not disappoint. We were greeted with a warm smile by practically every employee that we passed on our way to our table. The pride and joy of the staff absolutely shines. The hospitality continued with our wonderful waitress Janice, and was exemplary of the attentiveness one would expect from a place of this calibre. The food was well prepared, artfully presented, and delicious beyond expectations. Bravo to the leadership team and the employees at this finest establishment. We will definitely be back for more celebrations!

Gorgeous view for Detroit, Great venue for any events or weddings. Came here for our anniversary on a Thursday night, we came a little earlier than our reservation time, and 2 hosts told us to have a drink at the bar and will call us when we check-in at the time. We had great time at the bar, but it has already passed our reservation time, so I went there to check the status for our table, and one of the hosts completed forgot about us, it’s not even busy the whole time, and she asked my name and told me to pay for our bill at the bar then will take us to our table with such a cold attitude!!! It was not pleasant at all. After we paid the bill, another host was there, asked my name again and took us to the table and she was sweet. The sunset view was amazing here, our waiters are great. So it was prefix menu, you can add extra dishes or options, very interesting and unique, the food was pretty good, it was a lot of food, we can’t even have dessert, yup that full. I’ll definitely be back if I’m in town again. Hope I can add that one star back!

Visited the High Bar on the 71st floor for drinks and the view. The view was definitely impressive, and I loved the mid-century look of the interior space, which really goes well with the city’s history. The cocktails were excellent (in terms of both look and taste), as was the soft bread, which was a steal (Only $5!). There was a staff member (I felt she might have been the manager) working at the reception who was cheerful and proactive.

I came here for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. The 3 course meal was amazing and the drinks were phenomenal. I plan on coming back just so I can experience a different variety of food for the 3 course meals since they change.
