This place is very small but the food is great! One of the best ham omelettes I’ve had. The coffee was not good though. Our server provided great service and we didn’t have any wait.

Best bacon cheeseburger I have had in a long time! Kind waitress, great prices. but best of all, the small town cafe, with the locals talking about their lives reminded me of the cafe in my hometown when I was younger. Can’t wait to return someday.

One of the best Patty Melts I have ever had. It’s clean, server is attentive and friendly. Prices are amazing. Great lunch- a must stop if heading to Devils Tower and is worth the drive from Rushmore.

Wonderful little cafe in a picturesque Wyoming town. Nothing like eating a monster plate of delicious buttery pancakes after camping in the Black Hills. Service was prompt, friendly and as warm as their excellent coffee. Highly recommend!

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. The service was terrible…couldn’t get a refill of water. Owner is the rudest person I have ever encountered. The gravy was all pepper, the hash browns were undercooked, unseasoned, and the smallest serving I have ever seen, and the omelet was all onion. The owner tried to charge double for an extra plate to share pancakes between kids (they have no kids’ menu) and even charged people extra who didn’t get an extra plate. In the end, she refused to remove the extra charges, even though they weren’t printed in the menu and the waitress never bothered to mention it. She was rude and obnoxious, and I would never eat in this dump again.

“Devil’s tower” breakfast- sausage, egg, biscuit, and sausage gravy! Excellent food, good service, friendly staff. My kind of place – small, local, hole-in-the-wall cafe.

Good food. Nice waitress. However, the woman going around pouring coffe should not tell someone what to do with their daughter. I find it rude and not good customer service. I was told not to let my daughter hold a CLOSED bottle of syrup. We left NO mess WHATSOEVER. I obviously wouldn’t let my daughter play with an open bottle of syrup. And even if I did, butt out! If we make a mess(which we didn’t) OH WELL! It’s a resteraung, it won’t be the first or last time someone makes a mess. Otherwise great place.

Great food and we love the owners! Everything is made from scratch and is so good. Great variety and a small town cafe feel. Only open on the week days until 2, but well worth a visit.

The food was excellent. However, one older waitress startled me. I was taking a photo of a wall painting and the waitress stooped over, unexpectedly and told me photos are not allowed because the artist. The paintings photos were being sold on line for Profit.

It’s been a while since I had breakfast at Higbees – my dad and I were passing through Sundance and were looking for a breakfast diner. I ordered the biscuit with sausage gravy and it was fantastic. Higbees gives you the classic small town American diner experience – free coffee refills, simple decor and menu, and excellent service (the type you would expect from a small town American diner). The few negative reviewers here don’t understand that a diner is not an all-inclusive cruise ship buffet. If you’re passing through Sundance on the 90, do yourself a favour – get off the interstate and go to Higbees.
