SUPER LEGIT, BYOB Mexican spot in Media. it is a must try, Flavor is truly incredible, the menu and the cooking is 100% Mexican (no tex-mex!). I am a native and this spot truly deliver like if i were eating back in Mexico. Highly recommend it. Enchiladas and Chicken Hidalgo are incredibly delicious, the Guacamole is also outstanding.

Every time I go to Hidalgo it is an amazing experience. The food is not the typical Mexican street fare — they serve authentic cuisine from the small towns of Mexico — everything from red snapper baked in plantain leaves, to beef tips cooked in salsa, to cactus salad, to go-to’s like fajitas and burritos. Whatever you order, you will not be disappointed. They also make huge BYOT (tequila) margaritas, served in quart sized homemade mugs, and are the best I have ever had (and run under $8!!)

the food was quick, fresh and hot, and it tasted incredible. the servers also serenaded us while we ate. she used to be an opera singer, so if you want an incredible authentic experience, make this first on your list!

I can’t say enough about how fantastic this place is. It is truly a gem. The food is fantastic and every time I go, I swear it gets better. The staff are amazing, our waitress even sang us a song this past weekend…which was incredible and made our night. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Media, and if you like Mexican food…please go here. It’s authentic and very reasonably priced. See you guys again soon!

The food was delicious. Very tasty Authentic Mexican cuisine. The server Soledad served 7 tables by herself and was an excellent host. She even did 2 solo performances for 2 separate birthday guests. I rated the atmosphere a 4 because it was very warm in there. The sweat was flowing from my forehead.

I can honestly say dining at Hidalgo was probably the best experience I have ever had in my 50 yrs. Walking in, Solidad asked us where we would like to sit and immediately took out drinks order..she was very attentive and it really felt like we were at our family’s house. The food was amazing (gracias Enrique).. Solidad came out a few times to sing and her voice literally brought me to tears..being there, eating the food, talking with Solidad about all kinds of things and her singing showed just how passionate her and her husband are about what they do. Gracias Senora Solidad, por todo. We will be back, many many times!

Ordered the chicken with poblano sauce. Also stated to have lump crab meat, but there was barely any & you couldn’t taste it. Otherwise, it was a good dish. Partner ordered something that was not stated as spicy, but it was & they couldn’t eat it. Chicken in it was also very dried out. Margarita was not sweet enough for me personally, but I can understand why some may like that. Service was great! Everyone said hello & was friendly. Partner left their glasses & when we were walking down the street, a worker ran after us & gave them back.
