Place is revamped nice enough but they haven’t adjusted the menu to what I saw… it’s the same old same … not bad but it could have been so much more … staff was great and drinks good … perhaps a menu adjustment will drive people there as the competition is getting quite free e in the location

Food was great, and our server was very friendly and helpful. Drinks were good and a decent list of various beers and cocktails. Very good atmosphere and very clean too. Really enjoyed eating here.

We had family visiting us and not enough time to cook. We had not been to this location before we arrived probably around 6:30 PM. It was not busy. There were maybe five tables with people at them one or zero people at the bar. Bottom line, the food was OK. Our server was very sweet. The bartender was horrible had no idea how to make a martini to call her. A bartender is an insult to bartenders. Why she would’ve been hired as a sign that they couldn’t get anyone else breathing. My family asked for martinis with one ingredient and they came with 4. I will certainly never come back here and I can see why it wasn’t busy. The two people at the hostess stand were very nice and welcoming a young man open the door for us. I’m both entering and exiting, which was very nice. The salad I ordered was a good quality although it seems they have eliminated the spicy southwest dressing that used to make me want to go there at other locations.

Hickory Tavern is a better than average experience. Stopped in around 2:30 for a late lunch.

Excellent Lunch – Atmosphere was great. We ordered the Fried Cheese Mozzarella sticks – yummy with a wonderful dipping sauce. Meals were Fish & Chips – Good, and a Reuben Sandwich with Fries. The Reuben was spot on. Highly recommended. Great Server (Lois). Hospitality was great. Nice new interior after some recent remodeling.

Stopped in tonight for dinner. Very slow compared to what I thought I’d find. Service was pretty good and the food was exceptional. Especially considering what they had before the renovations. If you want the best bar food come to this location. The menu is way better than the competition and other hickory tavern locations! The one thing I would offer to improve would be for the managers to be present and interact with the customers. I did not see a single manager during my entire visit. Staff was friendly and the chef was nice enough to deliver my chicken dish and talk about the new menu improvements. I’ll be back soon to try more new dishes.

Had lunch for the first time in years after the recent renovations and revamped menu. I had the fish and chips, as did a friend…only he had the sweet potato fries, something I usually avoid…because they suck. They were crispy and quite tasty, as were the regular fries. The cod was fresh, flaky, and perfectly fried. And it just smelled good inside. Will be back for more.
