I have a new favorite place to go out and dine! We’ve lived in Vancouver for 10 years and have been trying restaurants all over looking for a place we can love. We usually leave a place feeling like we spent too much for what we got. Or just kind of liking it but not loving it. This was the best experience and the best food we’ve had anywhere in Vancouver. I had the shrimp scampi. Delicious! The cream sauce was perfect and the shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly. My husband had the filet and shrimp. This was so so good. I kept stealing bites of his veggies and mashed potatoes. The kids menu is reasonable and just as tasty as the other food. We will be back very soon!

I have been here 5 times in the last 3 years. The 4th time someone I was with said they got food poisoning from their meal. I still decided to go back again this time. It was great when I first started coming, and has gone down hill. The water glasses had lipstick all over and we asked to get replaced. The service was polite and professional but very slow for only about 8 tables filled. Golfer bros a couple tables down yelling at their table about who they hook up with.

Stopped by for a quick drink. Drinks were good , fries were ok. Didn’t get to stay for dinner, maybe another time.

What a disappointing meal. It’s a nice evening so thought it’d be a lovely place to meet friends. Casual atmosphere so expecting a reasonably priced happy hour. Instead our bill was over $100 for 2 people for chicken and tacos with 2 cocktails each. If the food was good I’d let it go but in this case it was a total fail.

I’m left wondering what others liked so much about this place? With an average rating of 4.4/5 I expected some really really good food. But both my wife and I were disappointed by the lack of seasoning and flavor for her fried chicken and my Hickory Steak Salad. Presentation was good, the menu looked to have a nice variety, but the execution of dishes lacked even a little pizzazz. We won’t be going back anytime soon. Sad, it’s a very nice place with a great view looking east over the golf course.

Used to love this place, but prices keep raising and menu items keep disappearing. One of our favorites were the Brussels sprouts. Originally a heaping amount that were the best in town, but started getting smaller until they were in a tiny bowl. Now they don’t even have them. The ribs were also amazing. They’ve reduced the portions considerably and raised the price probably by 10.00 since we first started going. They also need more salad choices. Husband will no longer go, sadly, as there are other restaurants in town more reasonable with more choices.

We actually ordered another dish a few days after.

Nice restaurant on a golf course. Very good food. Decent cocktails. Only has Martini & Rossi sweet vermouth but good selection of gin. Service is with a smile. Adequate parking. The halibut fish and chips were very good. I like their steak salad. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cocktail bars.

We frequented this restaurant MANY times in the last few years SPECIFICALLY for the Pomegranate Chipotle ribs. (They are incredible).

Beautiful views of the course from this restaurant (particularly in the outdoor seating area). A very special and memorable slice of Camas in that respect. However, after several visits I have to say that the service has been routinely poor with inattentive and disinterested staff. The food quality has also been inconsistent — our last dinner at Hickory was fantastic. Brunch was poor. Frozen potatoes, undercooked eggs, and minute maid lemonade despite advertising “Fresh Squeezed” lemonade. My future visits to Camas Meadows will be for golfing on their incredible course, not to dine at Hickory.
