Can you say great BBQ? This hidden gem of a restaurant knows BBQ. Great tasting BBQ fall off the bone tender and very tasty. The frys are unreal, a huge portion on better than homemade frys cooked just right.

The French fries, worth the trip and stop by themselves. But, get some ribs, (awesome) and the pulled pork, or the smoked turkey, as a bonus. Did I mention the fries are fresh home cut, awesomeness. Sorry I got to eating before taking the picture.

Friendly staff, fast service, and the smoked meat was good. BUT, I was surprised to learn they do not make their own BBQ sauce. It is store bought KC Masterpiece and Sweet Baby Rays. This was surprising and disappointing to me, because BBQ restaurants make their own sauces, or at least all the ones I’ve been to have. The sauces and how well the meat is smoked literally make it or break it. I would say this restaurant is more company picnic than BBQ restaurant. My pulled pork sandwich was only meat and bread. I’m sorry to say that even though the meat wasn’t bad, I will not be returning due to the lack of a good BBQ sauce. Cost was also a little high for what we got. ♀️

This is a good restaurant to eat at. The ribs are delicious. The beans and potato salad is very good too. The smoked beef was good but the sandwich is only bread and meat. I chose to just eat the beef. But definitely good flavor. Will be back.

We ate lunch at the Hickory Hole restaurant today. We ordered the two-meat bbq plates to go. I called from the highway and they had our order ready when we drove up. I’ve never been served by nicer people. The food was hot and delicious and a huge perk for us was that it is located right next to a great Dog park. Our fur babies give it a 5 bone rating too – the park and the bbq!
