Came here for a date night with my husband . We over indulged because everything was so so good. Amazing staff – very attentive. The watermelon jalapeño margarita was delicious. I am embarrassed to say I barely got a pic of my entrée ( Mediterranean seabass) I ate it so fast. We ended the night with the creme Brule. We will def. Be come back.

I love trying new restaurants & this place was definitely needed in our corner of town. We were seated quickly & greeted by a sweet server named Savannah. She was knowledgeable, pleasant & attentive. We ordered an old fashion first & it was very good. The food was really flavorful as well. The wedge salad was a good portion & the dressing was definitely homemade. We also enjoyed the crab cakes on top of Gouda grits. There was a generous amount of crab in them & they were cooked perfectly.

First visit last night and was not disappointed. Stuffed mushrooms are amazing. Burgers are delicious, but the BEST was the special. It was a meat sauce with linguine. I’m from NY and am VERY picky about my sauce. This was outstanding. Mia, our server, was wonderful. Very attentive and polite. Owner came out to check on us. You should go!

Had lunch at the new Hickory Flat Kitchen today with my Dad and sister. We had Amanda for our server. Amanda was so nice, knowledgeable about the menu, and so patient and kind with my elderly Dad. We all loved the food. I had the sirloin sandwich- loved it. Can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu soon. And it’s great they still have the chicken salad and cheese spread from Frosty Frog! We loved it!

My wife and a friend went to the restaurant last evening for some quality friend time. She came home and shared her experience with me. I’ll pass on her thoughts. First, I think it’s funny/fraudulent that your place has mixed your reviews with those of the Frosty Frog. A very tainted number for sure. Reality is, you have 28 reviews, not 342. Your method shows very little respect for your potential customers. Also noticed that you respond to only your positive reviews. Tough to respond to the negativity but should be part of the ritual to address issues brought to your attention.

Spectrum Of Truth
Shrimp and Grits, Fish Tacos, and Patty Melt are great! The meals had by others at our table also looked amazing and everyone said their food was fantastic. Service was friendly and had the right balance of being attentive but not intrusive. That’s hard to find these days.

First, I don’t think it’s very cool that the owner used the predecessor business, Frosty Frog, reviews on this new restaurant Google page. That seems a unethical. Second, I went in with a friend and it was a pretty bad experience overall. The decor looks like they simply painted and rearranged the tables. That’s about it. My friend ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms. They were so salty she had to send them back. I ordered the crab cakes on grits. It was cold. The crab cakes were dry and flavorless. The grits were very hard and dry. Like they had been reused from the day before or something. I decided to take the second, untouched crab cakes home to my hubs because it was expensive and I thought well, maybe he will eat it. Dumb idea. The manager or someone came by the table and said something about hoping everything was good and I told her the truth. She didn’t want to hear it of course and couldn’t leave fast enough. I think she thought I was just trying to get a free meal or something because she clearly saw the takeout container. Not even the returned mushrooms were taken off the bill. The waitress was not attentive at all. She ran my card and brought it to me without the details. Just a bad experience. We could use another restaurant in the Flat, but I’m not sure I would try this place again anytime soon.
