Love that we have a local sushi restaurant in Mound. It’s clean with a very friendly staff.

This is a very good restaurant! The food portions are great. Staff is friendly and the place is very clean. We order off of the food truck menu. Smaller portions and less expense. The prices are on par for the amount of food and quality. We will be return soon and often.

If you’re looking for delicious Japanese food in the west metro, this is you place. The food is extremely flavorful, service is great, the dining room is clean and comfortable. We had a the whole family out for dinner, and everyone was talking about how great their food was.

Daruma is a fantastic and welcome addition to the Mound food scene. Equally as delicious as their food truck that frequents Back Channel Brewing, with larger portions.

We were looking forward to trying this new restaurant in Mound so last night we gave it a try with a takeout order. We ordered the Tonka Roll, hoping it was comparable to Yumi’s Tonka Roll, and it is actually better than Yumi’s. Since the avocado in this version of the Tonka Roll is flash fried the roll is served warm. It was delicious, very flavorful and tasted fresh.

Place is spotless, service was amazing, owner is always attentive and the food was best I had in a long time. Hamachi was so so so tasty

The food was good but it was not $25+ per person good. Specially consedering that this is a fast casual style restaurant. For this price i whould expect at least a full service restaurant. You have get up and go get anything you need. You pay before ordering. If you need extra water or a beverage, you have get up stop all conversation and go get it or to the register to buy it.

I have to say I am disappointed with Daruma. We live locally and try to help local businesses, especially restaurants. My family and friends have tried to visit the restaurant on three separate occasions during published business hours and found it to be closed. However, last night takes the cake. At 7:30pm, (closes at 8:30pm) as we walked up to the door with the open sign on in the window, an employee rushed over and locked the door in front of us before we could enter. A business such as this does not deserve to stay in business.
