This was my first time dining at Hibachi 88. The restaurant is beautiful and the bathrooms were immaculate! Unfortunately the cashier was very aloof and you can tell she did not want to work there. She did not tell me thank you, have a nice day or anything. My food was really good so I ordered two Hibachi steak and shrimps to go. The cashier did not even tell me my food was ready. She just waited until I approached the counter to inquire about my to go order. Poor customer services really can plummet your bottom line.

Just near the conclusion of the pandemic, they decided to half their portions but kept the prices the same. So in essence they doubled their prices without changing anything on the menu. Their haggling over sauces is silly; no other business tries to nickel and dime as badly as charging for a 1oz portion.

Gyoza dumplings were fabulous! We got the hibachi chicken it was cooked very well. My only complaint is that the carrots seemed frozen. They also forgot the zucchini that was listed on the website so it was a little light on veggies. Definitely will return and hope they start using fresh veggies instead of frozen.

The food is good and their portions are fair, but it seems like they are always closed. I understand holidays, but at least update your website hours. There have been several times where we’ve called and the phone rang and rang to only later find out that they’re randomly closed. I just find it odd and inconvenient to be closed on Sundays, especially for a restaurant.

What can I say, I love Hibachi! I usually enjoy the Shrimp Hibachi, but my daughter loves the Chicken & Shrimp Hibachi! If I’m being honest, usually the chicken is a little on the dry side for my taste, and that is not just at this hibachi establishment! This is something honestly, I can eat several times a week – I love Hibachi!!! I love that I don’t have to feel guilty after decouring my food!

Food here is great! Definitely worth the wait. Sometimes they open a bit earlier then posted so I would go ahead and call if you’re feeling like hibachi mid morning. Food is made fresh so don’t expect a quick in and out if you don’t happen to call ahead.
