I tried their famous curry chicken and it wasn’t all that great u could barely taste the ginger or curry it was like a chicken stew lol smh. At that time they didn’t have rice and peas wich was a bummer so I went for their yellow rice that was alright but nothing out of the ordinary and finally their steamed cabbage was over cooked a little bit and no flavor but salty. I don’t think I’m coming back but the young girl at the counter was awesome

2nd time trying them and the jerk chicken never fails. First time I got the jerk Alfredo that is a bit on the spicy side. Second time I got a small jerk which I would put in the top 3 in the city. The rice and peas are not dry and the cabbage not over cooked or greasy. S/N I would suggest going during day time hours not the best side of town.

When I tell y’all the food was amazing, this was my first time trying them out, the food was sooooo good I called them back to tell them!! I need everyone go support them, y’all won’t be disappointed i promise, I had the combination platter with ox tail, jerk chicken, cabbage and rice & peas, a bomb, my husband had the seafood platter, a bomb, side of mac & cheese, grandma house on Sunday good!! HeyDaddy’s is one of our go-to places for getting take out and I’m glad we live close enough to walk to pick up. Jerk chicken varies in spiciness depending on the day. I really like the pepper steak, honey old bay salmon bites, and plantains. It’s a good amount of food for the cost. Sometimes orders get mixed up and wait times vary – sometimes they don’t have certain food. It’s all a little unpredictable but honestly that’s part of what makes it feel like home.

The chicken and goat curry I ordered was good, and the 2 out of 3 drinks we received were good. However, the cheesesteak combo we got was not pictured as it has been online, and we ended up throwing half of it out. The sauce on the cheesesteak was not appealing at all. It also was not delivered with the drink it was supposed to come with. Not sure I will order again unless all I want is curry/coco bread.

Unfortunately I arrived to pickup a Grubhub order which states that it had been “confirmed” shortly before I arrived (closer to 9p.m.) I went to complete the order specifically because of the confirmation.

So it’s 1:24am and I just fell in love with this restaurant I mean from the amazing customer service with then reaching out to let me know something I had ordered they had ran out of so did I want to substitute and it was exactly what I had wanted originally the pepper steak instead of the shrimp curry because I got the combination with the oxtails lol and I also got to substitute my seafood salad out for macaroni and cheese for my other combination order and then the food itself looked delicious smelled delicious and and tasted AMAZING and I had joked to my husband that I could smell the food they the phone cause I was at worked and was ordering us something for dinner and sent it home you guys outdid yourselves I also ordered the strawberry crunch cake and can I say I love you lol thank you to all the cashiers the cooks the the owners and everyone in between a JOB WELL DONE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 more stars cause I wanna give 10 stars
