Overall the quality of food was very good, I just wish the portion size of the chicken was larger. I tried the crispy chicken and the hainanese chicken, and hainanese was definitely my favorite. I LOVED the rice which had little chunks of ginger in it. I also tried a salad, which had really yummy dressing (a spicy peanut ginger sauce) and a black pepper soup, which was simple but delicious. The matcha iced tea was also very strong matcha and not too sweet, which was really refreshing. The mango sticky rice dessert was okay…most of the mango pieces tasted slightly unripe (not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be?). Overall definitely a good choice for a fast and tasty meal!

I got the heat. Succulent juicy chicken with a delicious kick. I was worried I wouldn’t like the ginger rice, but it’s not overpowering and tastes amazing with the sauce! I don’t know if all orders include a side of soup, but I appreciated it and it didn’t taste too bad.

I recently ordered the original from Hen for a party with my friends and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The chicken rice was absolutely delicious, and my friends and I couldn’t get enough of it. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a juicy tender meat. The rice was fragrant and flavorful, and paired perfectly with white wine 😉 Additionally, the dish was served with a side of the sauce and the soup that added a perfect kick to the already delicious meal.

I got takeout food from here and ordered fried chicken with ginger rice. They served it with a side of vegetables and a soup which had radish in it. The chicken was extremely crispy, the rice was cooked well and the soup was also quite good. The packing was also very good and the owners of the restaurant were very well behaved and courteous. The shop is small so it is difficult to comment on dine in experience but the place is definitely good to get takeout food. Highly recommended.

My friend and I have gotten food from here a couple times now and it has always been a big hit. The pricing is very good actually, the portions are quite good for the price and the food is great. I really love the crispy chicken and rice, and the soup it comes with is great too. It’s always ready very quickly, which is another plus. Would highly recommend!

Hen is simple, delicious, and convenient for pick up! I gotta say, some of the negative reviews here are silly. This is chicken rice, guys, not a sit-down dinner restaurant with fine dining services. They are good at what they do and that is chicken thighs and rice (and the soup is yummy and spicy). I find it hilarious that people are complaining about portion sizes. Goodness gracious, either eat less or cook your own chicken dishes if you want a lot of food. Also, I saw a review complaining about the “fatty” chicken. Dude, they are chicken thighs and that’s what makes them delicious. Hen staff, you are amazing and your food is fabulous.
