My favorite sandwich, made to order on a fresh baked Kaiser roll. Delicious soups, potato pancakes and full deli and some baked goods.

Helens has the BEST homemade fresh Polish sausage I have ever eaten! Their homemade pierogis are also awesome. I used to make them myself but theirs are as good as mine. I live in Woodstock now so it takes me over an hour to drive there but I’ve been going there for 40 years & it’s definitely worth the drive!

Best sandwiches, pastries and bacon in town, hands down. Love the sandwiches tho. I buy one almost every week. It’s simple yet the proportions and ingredients are just delicious.

The food is good here BUT they have no pricing on anything I wanted. So I had to ask the price for every item! Stupid! Also the prices are higher than Barbara’s Deli and KD market. Also their hours open are bad. Forget this place!

Helen’s is a landmark deli and mart in Wood Dale. Great food and friendly staff. I especially like their selection of salami and potato salad!

Any time you can walk into a store like this and walk out with a sizable Kiszka and a bottle of Polish honey beer for under $12 is a good one. The only drawback was that when they shut down at 4 they want you out quick, but I can’t complain about the variety of the food or the prices.

Notably authentic imported Polish food and groceries, some made locally. They tolerated my not being able to speak Polish but I’m sure service would be better for someone fluent in the language. Be sure to ask for sauerkraut from the barrel (sold by the pound at the deli) and don’t pass on the potato pancakes if they have any left.

Our family has been coming here for years for their Polish sausage and pieogies and bread omongst other items. Great food!!! Just started coming for sandwiches for lunch and decided to try the soup. It was their homemadw mushroom soup and it was AMAZING!!!! Just loved it! More lunches in my future!!!
