Stopped in for some stuffed cabbage, was stunned by the outrageous price. $8 for one, and it was frozen. Found a place on King rd and Belle river, called Goodfellows. Their price, $3. I ordered 2 dozen for Easter dinner with my family, and also picked up 24 city chicken for the same price, and it was simply amazing. Won’t be back to Helenas, they’re only open 8 hrs a week, and way over priced.

Today was my first time going there. The couple that own it were so welcoming and sweet! I had a chat with Helena about her periogies and how they’re made. I bought 2 packs of the bacon, potato, and cheddar kind, which come in a dozen. I also bought the custard cake (pictured) but I couldn’t remember the name. The cake was extremely good! I plan on going again!

Handmade, with love, amazing polish food! All of her foods are raved about by their customers! It is worth the drive to 6005! Just check hours of operation before making the drive and plan to arrive early in the hours of operation time frame for the best opportunity to try many of her items. They do sell out!

I stopped in for something to heat up for dinner and could not have been happier. The Makowiec took me back to my youth. The Pope cake was heavenly and the dill pickle soup was one of the best I ever had. Not only is the food delightful the owners are lovely! I almost felt like I was talking to new family.
