Heirloom is a fantastic place and very fine dining in Belmont. I have been here several times and every time I was pleased that I chose them. The people are friendly and professional. Service is amazing, so is the food of course. They have great option for plant based meals. A must place to visit for vegan folks and any visitors or residents.

My wife and I visited this establishment and it was incredible. David (it’s been a few days but I believe that was the waiters name on the 25) took extremely good care of us. His recommendations were on point. Excellent attention to our needs and funny/witty to boot. The bartender made some excellent house old fashions and overall it was a truly exceptional experience. Best pork chop I’ve had in years. If I’m ever in Charlotte again I will be visiting heirloom again.

What an incredible dining experience at Heirloom! We were welcomed by every staff member who introduced themselves by name and were so attentive throughout our evening, especially the manager who stopped at every table, connecting and ensuring guests’ needs were met. The restaurant interior design is smart, modern, and hip with brass & pipe fixtures and a beautiful motif of honeycomb wall tiles and bees, which we learned they keep nearby to provide the tastiest honey (the warm rolls with honey butter and sea salt are not to be missed!). We ordered four starters from the new fall Asian inspired menu also demonstrated high degree of attention to taste and presentation! The pork belly was tangy, sweet, crunchy and well presented; the foraged mushroom soup creamy and perfectly balanced. We ordered the pork chop (which was as large as a tomahawk steak) was perfectly cooked and juicy, the duck (served medium rare was tender, juicy) and the Amber Jack fish, which was flaky and tasty! An innovative menu with farm to table freshness evident in every bite. We were so fortunate the chef came out to visit us, which really added a personal touch to our dining experience. Thank you for a great evening!

I wanted this to be better but it was lacking. I would give the cocktails another star, but the food wasn’t up to the quality I expected for this price. The service was good but not great. The food was also good but not great. The charcuterie came out with extra crispy toast that we sent back. I would come here for a cocktail and some fresh bread with honey butter and be happy.

Very disappointing experience. We arrived at 5:00 when they open and the hostess seated us at the bar even though we asked twice if we could sit at a table in the empty dining room. Granted we did not make a reservation, we finished eating and left before the dining room was even halfway full, with open tables in our direct view (photo added below), so we could have been sat at a table the entire time. Furthermore, the Nut-crusted Chicken Breast entrée was bland and underwhelming. However, the Crab Rangoon appetizer was delicious, and the Curry Arancini entrée was tasty. To add, we were delighted with the bartender, Jessie, but unfortunately, the issues we had at this establishment outweighed the great service we received from him. It is important to mention that my partner is a person of color and she felt discriminated against by the hostess, ruining our Saturday evening.

A chef driven experience in a relaxed atmosphere right in central Belmont. We chose to share various plates, each with distinctive flavors and unique presentations. Exceptional service from a local with wonderful insight into the menu and preparations. Comparatively speaking, a very reasonable check as well:)

I made a reservation for 7:15 almost a week in advance and showed up roughly 5 minutes early with my date (party of two). We weren’t seated until 45 minutes later. What was disappointing was other parties of two kept arriving and getting seated before us even though their reservation time was the same or even later (a 7:30 reservation arrived and was seated before us). After being seated, our service was excellent but the food was honestly disappointing. The bao buns were good but I’ve had equivalent from a food truck. The chicken that my date had was very tender but somewhat bland. The vegan crab cakes were good but they fell short of their price point. The snap peas were undercooked and actually had a sharp texture to then. The creme brulee was fantastic and very delicious. Overall, for $109 for two people to eat without any alcohol for a pretty average meal was disappointing. I had much higher hopes for this restaurant. Perhaps since the food is all regionally sourced, that limits what ingredients can be used in each meal, but I felt the overall result was underwhelming. For the price point, I think your money goes much further elsewhere even just up the street at String Bean.
