Wow! This place is yummy! I’m not a huge brisket fan but I thought I’d give it a try. We got both the slices and chopped kind and…WOW! The meat was so tender and flavourful! The rub they use is so tasty we ended up buying some. We also got pulled pork, which was very good but did need a little BBQ sauce.

I felt it was a little overpriced. Thought the was was good. I had the Funky Burger and queso/chips with a side of burnt bacon ends. My bestie had the Pitmaster and fries (homemade cut fresh).

For a 5-star rated place, I was expecting more. We were returning from a 4-day out-of-state road trip, and are always up to hit a new-to-us BBQ place. We went into Dallas where we could have bypassed it, to try out HEIM BBQ on Mockingbird. Well, while decent enough, the brisket was lacking and def not 5-stars I’m sorry to say. The pork ribs were better, but even those would fall just a bit shy of 5-stars. Sides were good, especially the loaded mac ‘n cheese.

Outstanding barbecue in a great atmosphere. Loved the brisket and Mac and cheese was addictive. The fries were surprisingly good. Great bbq beans.

Really great barbecue and great service. We had pork ribs, brisket, burnt ends and jalapeno sausage. I would say that the burnt ends were probably my least favorite, almost like an overly greasy Cantonese char siu. Ribs were a little on the dry side but tasty. Sausage and brisket were excellent. Cole slaw was a bit plain and potato salad was also very dry, but the beans and mac and cheese were great! A great all-around Texas barbecue experience.

Great variety, portions and well priced. We arrived as a group of 15 and were able to pull tables together to accommodate us all. Food came out quickly. Most people were really happy with their meals. A couple mentioned meat was a bit dry or cold. But all in all a very good experience and we all left full and many with leftovers too!

Unfortunately, they were out of pork ribs when I went (though it was about 40 min till close).

Great spot to hit right before or after a flight at Love Field (directly across the street from main entrance). I had the jalapeño cheddar corn dog and brisket w/ green Chile Mac n cheese. I give the corn dog about an 8/10.. a little too much breading made it impossible to eat in typical fashion without unhinging my jaw. Very tasty though. They come out HOT so big careful. The brisket Mac will get a 10/10 in anybody’s book. And that’s tough because you have nail both items. The mac was super creamy and flavorful, the brisket… amazing. Atmosphere was very hip, clean, and guy who took order was super friendly and helpful. Well done Heims! Great experience!

The food is delicious here. The brisket is excellent and a must-to-order. You can cut it with just the fork.

Great atmosphere! Not-so-great BBQ! I was surprised by how much I disliked the food. I’ve had Heim before (in Fort Worth), and I’ve always enjoyed the food. This was a waste of $28.
