I was not impressed at all, I am a chef myself and this was not it. My taste buds may be different but no thank you. The fries were good but that fish and shrimp the smell of that fish was awful and those shrimps was so small.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in New Orleans! Every time I eat here it is always so good. Definitely a hidden gem. I recommend getting the Bourbon St. or the Super Dome. Honestly anything you get is going to be delicious. The service could be better because it usually takes a while to get my food. If you are in a rush place your order via phone or online. Staff are usually very accommodating though.

I don’t really review anything online but after visiting New Orleans and eating at this place 5 times I had to. This was recommended by my host and was somewhat close to where I was staying. It is nothing much to look at – you would pass it by if you didn’t know. But the food is truly spectacular, delicious and hearty. I miss it already! <3

This is a hidden gem, hidden well out of the way from the main hustle and bustle of New Orleans French Quarter. The food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place.

One of my top 5 favorite places. I’ve only ever had the food delivered but it is always seasoned just right- even the sides are delicious. I like getting the fried chicken Dat Plate w/ bread pudding (Thank you for not putting raisins in that btw. )

Flavorful food. Black owned restaurant. This place is where you walk up and you can eat outside or taken it to go. I Loved the mac n cheese and the beet salad. The bbq shrimp fries were yummy. Staff were very kind.

This is the Gem of the city. You can’t get more authentic than this. Plus the southern charm is well and alive. You’ll always be greeted with a smiling face. Honestly, what are you waiting for? Change your life and taste the soul of the city!

Unbelievable. My son and I were traveling and found this place online. Never had better food. We ordered the bourbon street love (breaded fried chicken, Mac and cheese, crawfish sauce, and cheese). The flavor, texture, and spices were all just right. No indoor seating. Have to do carryout or sit at picnic tables outside. Highly recommend!

Everything was amazing and filled with flavor! Wait time was great, like under 15 min. Dat Shyt drink was fye! 10/10 and perfect for our tequila we brought. I scrapped the plate clean it was sooo good. Customer service was awesome too, she was very personable and kind. The only thing and this has nothing to do with the food or service, but the tables outside were not leveled and we didn’t know prior to sitting down. Which caused my gf to fall, scrape her leg down to her toes, and waste her drink. It probably was hilarious to watch on camera tho! But we got the drink replaced and her scrapes are healed now.

Good food can come from anywhere in New Orleans. I was around here because I was walking towards the arena. The name got me thinking this is local. The place looks like a long alley. Very little room inside and picnic table outside. The food made up for the atmosphere. Almost everyone order and drove away. Cool place to try if you have a car.
