Had Lunch there today. Awesome service from our Bartender/ Waitress Theresa. The Fish Sandwich (Whitefish) was delicious. My wife’s Cheeseburger had a great steak taste. Would I go back? You Betcha.

We hadn’t come here for a few years because of a poor experience with the staff, but returned last year for a few great dinners. We were waited on by Joe, who was hands down the finest server in our area. One of us did an area “Prime Rib” tour which included Headwaters and 3 others what would probably be called ‘higher end” area places. Headwaters won the Prime Rib derby last year. This year under the new owners, so far we had an excellent Friday fish fry, and last night Prime was maybe just a tad step down from the year before, but still very very good. But best of all, Joe is back, and we look forward to returning

we went on a saturday night. we had prime rib, the meatloaf, & the bruschetta pasta. all i can say, is that all 3 entrees were deliciously superior & all 3 patrons will be back again! this may very well be our favorite place to come now. atmosphere was perfect, food was great, prices were reasonable, service was wonderful, noise level was comfortable, soft and appropriate dinner music playing in the background, while enabling us to still be able to enjoy our conversation & company. kudos to the new owners and the suburb staff! please keep up the good work & do not change, just to compete with other locations. you have the best set up around!

Headwaters Restaurant & Tavern blew us away with their incredible food and outstanding service! Joseph, our server, was a true expert, making exceptional recommendations. The interior is warm and cozy. It was well-lit. Their fish sandwich was the best we’ve ever had, and the Lobster Mac, Spinach Dip, and Brandy Old Fashion were excellent. We can’t wait to make this our annual stop! Thank you for the best service ever!

First visit since new owners took over. Arrived around 530, the place was not busy. We’re seated inside however the AC was blowing cold air on us so we asked to be seated outside. Waiter was very friendly and took drink order, came back shortly and took our dinner order. This menu didn’t come close to what I expected, everything was overpriced and nothing appealed to any of us. I guess we were expecting something like we were used to, dinner specials that had been on the menu previously. We all ordered the cheese burger which was mediocre and came out hardly warm. In the past, this place was usually packed and there was a waiting list to be seated, sadly, we won’t be returning. Maybe a few specials appropriately priced might make a difference in the number of diners. Since no one in our party ordered anything else, I can’t comment on the quality of the other menu items.

First time here since the remodel / new owners (?). Was very good. Clean and updated environment, friendly staff. Good menu with daily specials, not overly complex. We had NY Strip, Burger and Walleye, all excellent, cooked perfectly. Will be back for sure!

Exceeded our expectations. We came for Saturday night fish fry. There are new owners and a new menu. Crispy fresh fried haddock, everything arrived piping hot. Artichoke dip with blue corn chips was a hit.

We were there today 6/6/23 at 3:30 and they told us the dinner menus wasn’t till 5:00 but we decided to stay anyway we were the only ones in the place we both ordered a French dip Beef sandwich we waited about 20 minutes or more for our meal it was terribly dry and not good … I’m not sure if it was canned meat or not but by the time I made it back home to Woodruff i was so sick to my stomach. The staff seemed very unprofessional eating at the bar sharing a Mac & cheese and laughing really loudly. Our waitress checked on us once to refill my husbands drink other then that we were ignored until my husband asked for our ck which was $40.00 which seemed crazy but we paid the bill and left the waitress her tip! We will not return again, but was wondering if it has new owners because it used to be great!
