Make sure you check the special Fish of the Day Very fresh Nigiri! Crazy Monkey, Bay Scallop & Blue Crab California Roll very delicious. Neighbors bento box looked almost too beautiful to eat. Seaweed salad was perfect, too. Great place to stop. Very fresh fish.

We came close to closing after visiting the Ritz Carlton. They stayed open passed closing for us and didn’t rush us at all. We got some rolls, tempura, and their sushi boat which has a little bit of everything sushi and sashimi and rolls. Everything tasted fresh and didn’t feel overpriced for the quality.

First time trying. Really tasty salmon teriyaki entree. However…Fresh crab (more pricey) California rolls were disappointing with minced tasteless “crab”?? Felt like a rip -off gimmick. Likely would have been better to go with imitation crab. (Pity). Also California roll orders are quantity 8 making them a tad small and skinny with hardly any avocado. Better if they made it quantity 6 per order and “beef” up the roll quality. Sushi Monster in Belmont do really excellent Cali rolls. Perhaps this establishment could try such and copy. Then soooo perfect. But woukd like to give this establishment another try and test the Cali rolls again.

While Hayashi is a bit pricey the quality of the fish is amazing! I did not get any rolls, but the carpaccio and sashimi and I was very satisfied. *I also did Take Out – perhaps not the atmosphere to dine in @ dinner, but speedy lunch spot.

3.5* Very heavy on sauces for the rolls, probably best to order “on the side”. Sometimes the sauces defeat the whole purpose of sushi and rolls.

Portions of sushi large. Food good. Bathroom closed “due to covid” per waitress, recommended going to Safeway (2022-09-25). Has 6 tables, 12 chairs, which should mean required to provide restroom. Table service good. Oddly no cell service in mall. Open 30 minutes later than nearby competing sushi place and is why we tried.

SUPER GOOD!!!!! The crunch roll is amazing, and the spicy tuna is also great. If you’re there for lunch, I highly recommend their bento boxes. The green tea mochi is a great way to finish too!!! Truly a great experience, and the service is excellent!!!
