Nice place for dinner. Fun to watch the chef make sushi rolls. Very clean. Staff all friendly. Had the miso soup which had a good flavor and was delicious. Had the gyoza. They were very good and the dipping sauce was so tasty. Will definitely be back.

Amazing restaurant for cooked and sushi food. Clean and friendly. Fully enjoyed the experience. When in Chardon, check it out. The best high quality meal authentic Japanese food. Starting 14 dollars to 23 dollars with miso and onion soup, salad with special ginger dressing, fried or steamed rice.

I wasn’t really sure what to think of this place… It used to be a diner and has now turned into a sushi restaurant…but let me say : people of Geauga County – come here!! The sushi was delicious, the service was quick and personable, and oh yeah the sushi was way better than what I expected. My niece and I split several rolls and enjoyed them all!

Friendly service, wide variety, but seems like what I got 6 pieces of sushi for here, costs about the same for 8 at other restaurants. I got the Volcano Roll and it was very good, but the value seemed a bit off. Over $2 per piece.

Amazing gem located in small town Chardon. Tucked in the Maple Leaf plaza off of Water St. is the most amazing sushi and hibachi restaurant. Walking inside, are remnants of the old Maple Leaf Restaurant which occupied the same space for decades prior. The inside has been completely remodeled with grays, blacks and whites for a modern appearance. Beautiful flooring and decor throughout.

Excellent shrimp tempura roll. You can tell the oil is fresh due to its unbelievable taste. Highly recommend Hayashi Mayple for the value for superior tasting Japanese food. My wife and I eat there frequently and have always been delighted with the quality.

So glad to find fantastic sushi in Chardon. The entire meal was delicious! We had tempura, tuna nigiri and several spicy tuna rolls. The presentation of the food was presented like a piece of art not just thrown on the plate, and it tasted just as good! There is a separate drink menu with a wide variety of mixed drinks, sake and beer. The service was amazing. All the waitresses were very attentive and fun to interact with.
