It’s the beginning of my next 2 days off for the 4th of July & I wanted some local barbecue. After seeing the ratings I decided to give Hawk-I’s a try & the food didn’t disappoint! I ordered the small tip & 4 wings (jerk). The tips were tender & perfectly seasoned. I LOVED the sauce! The jerk wings were delicious – perfectly seasoned & cooked to perfection. I would have given 5 stars if the wings weren’t the smallest you can buy. For the price I’d expect at least medium sized wings however the fact that everything was finger licking good (literally) makes this still a great local choice. I’ll definitely be back!

They have really good turkey tips. Call ahead not too much of a wait for your order. Nice and hot the barbecue sauce is this good. Great to get in and out and friendly staff.

I moved from Chicago to Minnesota years ago. When I come back home, I want something good to eat. I tried them and was not disappointed. The rib tips were tender and the the jerk chicken was so flavorful. I am a picky eater… I know good food. This is where you should go.

I wanted I-57 but they didn’t answer their phone. So my wife looked these guys up. OMG!!!! I’ve just fell in love with a new rib joint. Everything was good the tips, the links, and the chicken. That hot BBQ sauce is uh bomb. I highly recommend it. I-50 who? I’m done with those people. Hawk-I is the King of BBQ.

Food and service fell off. Tips are good but sometimes overdone. Turkey tips and links are good. They rarely answer the phone now so I was forced to wait 30- 45 minutes for my food the last 4 times. And it’s cash only now.

Terrible food. Terrible service. RIB Tips taste like they’re boiled doesn’t have the firm grill fel. I ate here when they first opened and the food was bad, so I tried it again because a certain amount of time had passed. It was a little better, so I tried it later this summer and not only did I wait to long but the tops were gross and the hot links were under cooked. 3 times enough.

Store opened at 4pm we got there approximately 445 they were still adding lighter fluid to the pit (hmm heard good things so we still ordered wings & link/ tip combo). 20 minutes later we were told it would be another 20 min for pork hot links but we could substitute turkey. .ok why not. Wings were hot, although small rather tasty. Links and tips were Drowned in rather cool sauce . I just woke up at 2am with stomach grumbling to…. I know to only visit a bbq place when smoke is billowing. This is a stark reminder.

First impression is everything. Just gave this place a try and the door was locked. It was 12:40 and they open at 11:00 (supposedly). I called and he said they are running late and will open at 1:15. They just lost my money to Sharks right next door. You try to spend money with your people and this is what you get…

Do not bother with this place. The meat is tough and over-cooked. Prices are steep for what you get and for the neighborhood. Enployees offended me 4 times in about 90 seconds.
