My first day in Hilo we tried Hawaiian Style Cafe for breakfast. There was a short wait for a nice outdoor table. The dishes were great as was the service. The portions were extremely generous, especially the pancakes that went with my omelette and hash browns!

The best food we’ve had in Hilo! So good that we went back for breakfast before we had to head out of town. Huge portions and great pricing, which is great when feeding a family, but the food was delicious. It was difficult to choose from the extensive menu, but I don’t think you can go wrong. Service was great and the atmosphere was great as well. They brought our food out really quickly but everything tasted fresh and amazing.

This turned out to be the best spot to eat in Hilo. It was very clean and spacious. It was not noisy, food portions were generous, and service was excellent. You have a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. Bathrooms were remarkably kept for such a busy establishment. Lines are quite long for breakfast so be prepared to wait. Prices were worth it. I would recommend and eat here again. Great job.

massive portions. We drove from puna black sand beach to eat here so it was a drive. That said, it was pretty dang good. There was a wait bc this is a popular spot. Good Hawaiian fare. All of the locos are great. Poke was good. Great spot

Amazing food! Service was great as well. Unfortunately, it’s very popular and wait times were high. We waited 50 minutes for a table for two. Also had some champagne, which isn’t on the menu. Wonderful with our brunch. Had the Moco-Saurus. Ton of food, but very high quality. Pork was phenomenal!

Come early or prepare to wait! We were advised that there were a lot of customers and the staff were busy but trying their best!

Best place in Hawaii for taste and value! Got the Traditional Hawaiian Loco Moco, Spicy Poke Bowl, and the Da Tika Mok. The gravy base for the mokos was the best on all the islands we ever had! That poke was the perfect blend of spicy and flavor. These meals are so savory and worth the trip! Top off with their Mauna Kea Iced Coffee, not sweet and great taste for a good caffeine pick-me-up!!
