What to do in Southern Oregon
Harvey’s is one of our favorite restaurants for family dinners and date nights equally. The food and cocktails are always good. Service is also good while slow at times, as things go these days with staff shortages. Just be prepared to be patient.

I’ll start by saying it took over 15 minutes for my own bottle of wine to be opened for an average $20 corkage, I’m happy to pay it if it were timely. They were busy and the bartender was very sweet. The clams were not good, tasted like bland dishwater with sweet peppers added (where is the white wine, the garlic, shallot , the butter the flavor?? )I ate approximately three of those and let it be discarded (the server did not ask if I enjoyed it nor did she notice that my plate was full and I didn’t eat it) I attempted to eat the bread which was also not good (how so? I don’t know!!!) so I asked for balsamic vinegar and oil for dipping. after waiting another almost 15 minutes, I had to ask a second time for balsamic vinegar and oil, at that time I was brought in Italian dressing of some sort, which again I had to ask for balsamic vinegar and oil. What I was finally brought was some sort of balsamic reduction that had way too much sugar in it and it was also horrible. I find it sad that restaurants survive simply by being on the plaza in Ashland Martinos is another one that does this.

White-tablecloth quality and stylishness without the fuss, locally-sourced bistro without the bougie, there’s good reason why Harvey’s is a longstanding Ashland standout. Very conveniently located for playgoers (practically adjacent to the theater), for a refreshing local beer, wine or craft cocktail and nibbles at the end of a walking day in wonderful downtown Ashland, or a destination dining experience, it never disappoints. Their potato tots are the best I’ve ever had, light and crispy with an intruing sauce. I’ve been eating there for years and was struck last night by the fast and cheerful service as well as its being friendly to single diners and travelers, too.

Customer service was really terrible. We were seated and waited 15mins for someone to come to the table. They never even took our drink order or anything. We asked if we should come back another time and they were dismissive about it and were more concerned with other things. We just had to walk out.

Fabulous chef makes some of the best food in Ashland. I recommend you try the crusted halibut or filet. The creme brulee is the best I’ve had.

(Celiac here) Chicken Piccata was wonderful, and I’m not saying that just because the mixed drinks were great, pretty sure…

Mediocre, overpriced, bland food. Awful, cannot-be-bothered service from Zoe and Alex. They ignored our table and kept tending to nearby ones. Would not recommend.

One of those rare finds. Was exploring the downtown and happened to park within 3 car lengths, walking we sighted the sign, enticed, went in to enjoy a first class dinner and excellent service. Highly reccomend it.

We had the very best service and delicious food at Harvey’s Place….Anny’s Carrot Cake stole the show but everything really was high quality. I feel so lucky with have such a great spot like Harvey’s here. We hosted my 50th birthday party with appetizers and an extensive drink menu. It was a perfect night in so many ways. We will be back for sure!

We got the chicken pot pie togo. It was pretty good – very nice flaky crust, great flavor. It even came with mashed potatoes and collared greens on the side! My boyfriend ate the collared greens and said they were not good, so don’t hold out for those, but the pot pie on its own is lovely anyways. Also friendly service. $14 for the pot pie.
