Tired of the business chain breakfast spots? Tired of the exceedingly high prices and poor service? I have found a hidden gem with Hatura. Excellent food, excellent service. More cost effective than Briggs or First Watch. Easier parking than On the Border and First Watch. Top notch establishment. The biscuits are better than Biscuitville and Bojangles combined!!!

It is a charming place, with very friendly people, but the key is the food has an authenticity that you not get in normal restaurants. Regardless of the dish, it genuinely feels like you were eating in someone’s kitchen. Don’t just look at the menu, there’s always a variety of delicious daily specials. This is a must go to place. Our office has lunch here about once a week!

Pleasant atmosphere. Quick service. Had kids menu with crayons. Ordered the shrimp and grits. Flavor was wonderful, however it was a little too soupy for my taste. Would have also preferred the shrimp be tail off.

We gave this restaurant a try yesterday and we were glad we did. (It’s in a former Pizza Hut building in Wake Forest. One thing I liked when we walked in is there are lots of windows.) The menu choices were quite nice — “southern meets Dominican” we were told, and there were many choices. I ordered lunch and my husband ordered breakfast (available all day). I had a delish club sandwich on toast with a fresh salad mix for the lettuce, which was a nice change. The French fries were frozen, but they were fine and there were other sides from which to choose. My husband had scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries (cubed potatoes with a little chopped onion) and the fluffiest biscuit. He said every thing was very good. Service was good; we will go back. Wake Forest has been lacking in breakfast restaurants, so give this a try. This is a family-owned business, another reason to support it.

Great little Caribbean and Spanish American restaurant in a nice shopping center location. Great variety of food representing several American cultures. Great food.

First time visiting and will not be the last. The maduros were perfectly cooked. Loved the Empanadas. My husband said the mofungo was similar to how his Nana made it. Hole in the wall, highly recommend!

I’ve eaten here twice, and both times, the food was very good. Chicken and Dumplings are very good, just like my mothers – except I didn’t have to make them. The broth was full of flavor and there was a large amount of chicken. The fried zucchini were great. My husband had fried flounder which was also very good. I’d like a few more choices of “traditional” southern sides. The cabbage was good but needed more flavoring – bacon grease, something. I will return and highly recommend Hartura to others.

First time visiting from NY..so service was a little slow compared to NY. However the waitresses was so sweet & comical. My husband tried to give her the run around but she kept up with his playful energy. I had the grits, eggs, toast, ham, & gobbled it down Hubby & friend had meat omelet with cheddar cheese his wife had chicken & waffles that was too much to eat.. Overa we enjoyed ourselves…will return

This place has generated a good deal of buzz and for good reason. Very tasty breakfast. Eggs, bacon, grits, pancakes, even the coffee. It’s clear that quality ingredients is paramount. We’ll be back with friends.

The food was absolutely delicious. I chose something that was a traditional Dominican dish, but there were lots of classic favorites on the menu too. The service was fantastic too. We will definitely be back!
